I'm a NTC superuser that loves Nike Training Club. I started using the app about two years ago, mostly to work out at home or when traveling. Almost two years later (and a long hiatus due to an arm accident) I have logged more than 4000 minutes of pure, tough, great full body workouts. The app is awesome, it is really like having a gym in your pocket, whenever you want, wherever you want, and, for free!
There are more than 100 workout routines on the app, divided according to the goal you have: getting lean, getting tones, getting strong, or focusing on some target area, and to your fitness level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Each drill is explained in a very detailed way, with both videos and pictures. You can familiarize with the workout by browsing through the drills and watching the videos. Then, once you start the workout, a timer and the instructor's voice will guide you through each drill. And you can play your music of choice in the background.
And this is not everything: the more minutes you log, the more badges you unlock. The last one I earned is the Titan badge! This is already cool and somewhat motivating, but in addition, some badges hide special workout rewards, some salad and smoothie recipes, and special workouts developed by famous personal trainers like Jeanette Jenkins, Ary Nunez, and the fabulous yoga instructor Leah Kim.
In the last year, they also added other bonus workout routines, that are unlocked automatically at the beginning of each month. These are all 15-minute workout featuring great women athletes such as Hope Solo, Serena Williams, Shawn Johnson, Leryn Franco, and many others, which I love!
