WARNING RANT AHEAD

UGHHH My boyfriends "best friend" is passing me off royally. (Sorry thus is probably gunna be long and I can't really post this on fb cause he will see it.) 1. He's 2 faced when it comes to his princess sister. I will call her out on her bullshit and be texting him and he will tell me I'm right then turn around and tell her she's right and not a princess and he will show her our texts. It irritates me to no end cause her whole family bends over backwards for her ungrateful ass. 2. He complains about not hanging out with us but he doesn't take the time to text or call either of us to see when we are coming to town next. (We live about an hour away from him and we go there 1 day a week at least. No excuses.) We've tried making plans with him but he's always busy. 3. He blew up at me recently over a stupid post. (I even deleted comments to help appease him to no avail.) He graduated Community College on Monday and didn't tell us. He made a post about it and tagged everyone of his friends except for us in it. The post read along the lines of "I graduate today, I'd love it if my friends could be there".... it hurts not only me but my boyfriend. They were inseparable best friends when they lived close but it's like the distance is bringing out how he really feels. 4. We made plans with him to steal him for a week during winter break. The day before he tells us he can't come because his parents won't let him bring HIS dog. Ugh it's infuriating. Dealing with this for a year now. Only time we see him is if he happens to be at another friend of ours house. Thanks for letting me rant. No need to reply.

I need some help in getting through to a friend of mine.

My best friend, the mother to my two godkids, is in a very unhealthy relationship with the baby daddy of one of her kids. He has done a lot but none of it compares to the night he beat her up. He was drunk and she brought to his attention the fact that he was sexting a 16 year old. He snapped and beat the shit out of her. She ended up calling the police and they took him away but she dropped the charges on him in hopes that they can still be together cause she "loves him". They are currently back together, despite multiple people's wise words against it, and I can't sit by anymore and just let them go through the same patterns every single time. This being said, he has only ever layed hands on her once but that doesnt excuse the fact that he did it in the first place. Yes he was inebriated but alcohol amplifies your already exhisting emotions which lead me to believe hes thought about hitting her before. I lover her and the kids to death but I need to get through to her that he is not a good guy. That he doesnt actually care about her. That love doesnt conquer all. That love goes both ways and she is so full of love she is just wasting it on him. He doesnt deserve the woman she has become. He doesnt deserve all her kindness and love and attention. I fear he may beat her worse next time it happens. She claims "oh he wont do it again" but thats complete bullshit cause abusive partners are more likely to do it again. I just need something that might help get through to her beforw its too late.

Snezhana Soosh is a 37-year-old artist from the Ukraine. She recently began posting some heartwarming illustrations of a father and his daughter on instagram. The images are sadly not from experience as her own father was not part of her life.
