ok backtracking, the book essentially proves that Alter! Entrophy duo WERE watching their counterparts and keeping tabs on them while all the other players were meat shields.

So I assume most players agreed with entrophy and went on the plan, only to be purged. But that still doesnt quite explain why alter!Mugm hinted at the gateway as a chance to win? There is always that theory that they want a grand finale 2v2 and didnt want entrophy to die so soon. But, then why set up the end trap in the first place? to drain them? then why lead them to the stash?

^ This means alter!Puki KNOWS about brotherhood, or has some kind of idea about it. Or maybe the blacked out text is edited on? maybe he didnt write it? I add Puki's skin because he's only Half Gray, not fully corrupted like the others were. (mainly taking Q's skin as reference didnt get a good look at others) maybe I'm just overthinking it but you think that means that Actual Puki was there? that it wasn't just alter? I think that half explains the Brother comment since anything else really doesn't.

also the chunk errors but that just like. My theory is is that s2 is corrupting as s3 passes by or as entrophy duo stay, and the world is dully like deteriorating with every kill or every day maybe. idk.

apologies for adding on but i think this discussion is sooooo fascinating.....

i have like 2 kinda theories about why alter!puqi was Like That and why the golden dream world is corrupting

theory 1: after the first book pleading for them to stop and alt!nova's suicide, mugm has been thinking more about the alters' humanity and how what he's doing in the golden dream reflects his goals in ch3. he knows that purging the world of all its players—real people with emotions and motivations—is his original goal, the Reason why he wants the gold gem. but only now is he coming face to face with what that means, and actually thinking about it. so if you believe the golden dream dimension is the way it is because its a metaphor for mugm's psychological state, these recent contemplations reflect onto the next alter he sees: an alter that is inarguably human, harmless, and with the "brother" comment, related to the puqi he knows from ch3. the world deteriorating thus reflects mugm deconstructing his own black and white worldview, even as he continues to carry on with his original goal

theory 2: this is sort of intertwined with "the dimension is the way it is because its a metaphor for mugm's mindspace" but this time it's more "it is the way it is because a Higher Power (probably the Prophet in this case) is giving mugm a Test and is using his memories and psychology as part of that test" . and if the test lines up with the tests mugm has previously been given by the prophet/manifestation, the way to pass the test is to reject the temptation of power and ignore the trial presented in front of you. in this case, alt!puqi being that way is a play on doubts mugm has been having, a prompt for him to truly reconsider his actions and display humanity. instead, mugm kills her anyway, failing the test. thus, the world deteriorating is a reflection of mugm continually (thoughout all the golden dream streams) and now emphatically failing the test presented in front of him, just like he failed the test mani gave him when she talked to him in her (the prophet's?) pocket dimension (which i wanna point out is where mugm and wyll were briefly transported before being plopped into this weird version of s2).

im personally partial to theory 2................... but I Dont Knowwww bro this is all so fascinating i wanna get every stream of this under a microscope and dissect it like a frog dude im soooo invested......
