When it comes to how Stormz brings up Mugms request to him about picking up the gold gem, you have to understand that it’s more metaphorical than actually 100%. Stormz bringing up Mugms request towards him is more of a stepping stone and a way to convey his growth and actual clearance on his goals, it is not something he is actively gunning for nor is it an actual concrete goal on achieving that.

This request is how Stormz grounds himself on the account of his instability. In the Golden Harvest book that Mugm shows Stormz, his unstable traits are commentated on. The actual goal entrusted upon him to destroy the server matters less than the fact that it was entrusted upon him despite the fact that Mugm knew Stormz very well at that point, and knew how impulsive he was.

Stormz understands his instability very well, and he understands that that is why so many of relations had burned off. He uses this to ground himself so he can be deserving of the trust he is given, so that people can trust him and not have it flipped on their head. He cares about other peoples’ assessment of him, he has brought it up multiple times (both kantje in the past, mugm now) and he wants to work on that point. 

Stormz understands the fear that Dumb has of his impulsiveness, and he doesn’t take it badly, because at this point Stormz knows. He highlights upon that fact multiple times.

The gold gem request is used to work on that instability/impulsiveness of his, when dumb asks him what he will do if he gets it, that isn’t Dumb talking about that specific future, it’s them explaining to Stormz that they need him to pick a goal and stick with it, not switch at the last minute. This request is conveyed by using the Mugm request as a stepping stool.

This is also connected to the fact that Stormz has started to accurately and healthily process his past, in this case especially Total Eclipse. Stormz is able to acknowledge his wrongs and mistakes, he is able to accept the affect that it had on him and not view it in a light that is extreme. (Ie; it was completely good, it was completely bad.)

Stormz is using this moment as a focal point to establish a stable sense of identity and build that from the ground up, because he’s not going to be able to do it all by himself. The same way Dumb helped Stormz let go of the past (the stabshot) Stormz is using the request to start off with a clear cut goal that he won’t switch up on, and so he can hold onto that and allow himself to basically practice on a dream that isn’t set in stone or even realistic at all.

This is why he compares Dumb and himself to Entropy - because out of all the relationships he was clued in on or knew, entropy was one of the healthiest and using that to build himself and his relation with Dumb up is what's leading to the development happening in a positive light

i feel like auratus would be better than heretic for a mace just on the basis that the movement is so good and versatile and the chains can lead to not just a flagpole (and you can try for a mace hit while they're literally suspended in the air) but also you can get the person stuck on the ground where they can't move, leading to easy mace hit too.

heretic might be better with webs but auratus can keep you in the air for much longer, and ultimately if you're gonna be macing you wanna be up in the air basically all the time to avoid webs + maximize damage

No, yeah. Mace is inherently about movement and further distance from the ground and Auratus is just deadass a movement gem, it's primed for that sort of thing in particular. When the 'bliss finale' (joke) happened Stormz genuinely flagpoled sbn and asked wyll to mace her when she was stuck. It IS genuine tech. Auratus does just work better than Heretic unforchies

Not really a question, but speaking of dormant pvp timmyisms …. I’ve been thinking about which gem (auratus or heretic) would be super op with the mace and I think that it’d probably be heretic. It’s really good at crowd control + saws that do damage and break webs would be beautiful.

There is definitely an argument for auratus chains for mobility but I think blood-link+mace just wins.

sorry ladybug anon this ask made me think really really hard... hmmm... if we're going prime Heretic and Auratus, i do think Heretic does just... win. But, Auratus puts up a fight too because it IS a movement gem and allows alot of hopping around - Flagpole is pretty good for getting mace hits in. I do agree though, the main problem with mace IS webs and Heretic handles that pretty well but. Once again, this bliss kit has Pearls. It does kinda diminish the saws and blood link.

It also pretty much depends on how many people are there? If the opps are posted up like Solar Flare than I fear Auratus is gonna do more to catch up with pearls, keep people still, and do extra damage in mosh pits. I don't know, I feel like it depends so much because Bliss is like. Anomaly center. The gems, the kit, the damage effect on mythics.

Also Heretic kinda chopped rn. After Energy games that shit genuinely got blasted into superhell. And i dont really know about Auratus but from Stormz comms it seems like it's super busted, so. iunno.

Stormz has said that Heretic is better than Auratus and he's beaten Auratus with Heretic before, so it's super iffy. Prime saws are also really, really, good especially with the spore ability where it increases damage within its vicinity, would be super good with mace. Also, like you said, it eviscerates cobs.

Auratus also has it's dura-healing passive which does work pretty well with mace users, no? Also, hauling strike increases opps' shield cooldown which works well too.

I honestly have no clue, I feel like both of them work really well with the mace but I'm leaning more towards Auratus because of how busted it is. Like, Heretic is up there too but I dunno. Specific issues with macing being shields, webs, and pearls and both Auratus and Heretic combat those in different ways. Also Mosh pits.

it was so surprising to me that q was doing well against hazel, esp bc she's pretty good and i thought he was WAY worse ngl... i stand corrected now, like ok q pop off queen. i'm also surprised silva wanted to spin it back against hazel + dumb bc as much as ppl cheer for prime silvasaur he is NOT winning against dumb i'm so sorry...

you're spitting facts about unscripted smps/pvp. its just way more fun. the tension/build up to a fight, the multitude of unknown variables constantly at play like if people will betray, if someone will play badly that day... you're left in suspense the entire time. it also makes the joking/messing around during downtime between fights funnier bc it's such a relief to the tension

you're stronger than me bc i tried watching uu but i couldn't bring myself to care about annnyyyy of the fights (and by god there were many.) bc the mc is obviously always going to win. and even if they don't win it's not as if there will be any real consequences. so personally it was just super uninteresting to me

I will probably write down a post on auratus and heretic in a bit, i just got an ask about it LOL It'll take a minnute, i haven't really thought on Auratus and Heretic. Stormz did comm on a stream that he's suprised 'A gem that doesn't fit him(color scheme and vibe wise) is the one he works best with.' so. yeah. He plays really supportive/defensive instead of Agro which suits him best i think, he's also super stress free with Auratus LOL.

No, same, because Hazeli is sworn up and down to be such a techy and good player(no shade i love hazel) and even Q herself was surprised at how good she was doing against her. Also, yeah, Silvasaur is Not winning against Dumb. They're better than Stormz and Sans and I hate to say it, Silva was falling on their face against Sans. Also, Silva was kinda in a desperate position. They literally begged to be able to help Q and were finaaalllyyy let it, they're gonna chase after that.

SMP fights are so fun... Team fight coordination and communication, the tension sometime boiling over and resulting in an argument. (SHOTOUT I <3 SCREAMING/YELLING IN PVP FIGHTS) The messing around in fights is also really fun but. consider. Super tension filled fight that is completely quiet. Post-betrayal too.

The main thing about UU (i have talked extensively about this) is that S1 was a really unscripted/VOD format which made it so much easier to watch. Also I migrated from Lifesteal and Spoke,parrot,wemmbu were my main/fav povs (aside from zam) so them dropping VOD long videos was a FEAST. Also, even with POVs inability to die lose, they still lost alot of times by resource drainage LOL. But, yeah, I understand you <3 i completely locked out of uu the moment director arc ended. The repetition in plots/arcs and paired with hardcore gimmick just made stuff super uninteresting to me.

Also. Yeah. I can watch like, Pvp queuing only on streams or a video dedicated to that. If its a edited sequence in a 30 minute video where you have a 10 minute fight every 2 seconds, i'm not watching it. im sorry. im not watching it.

And like, the thing is, it's not hard to get me interested in an SMP/series. Well no nevermind it kinda is. I can only lock in on anarchy/pvp SMPs super hard instead of specifically Lore Smps. Like, there's a very thin different because pvp servers Are lore servers too because of the inclusion in lore and server worldbuilding. but There Is A Difference. I need pvp mosh pit fights. I need relentless grinding, I need pvp mindset and dynamics that effect how you approach lore and RP as a whole. It's the Pvp that adds to the anarchy mindset which makes thing much more tense and serious and high risk. Iunno how to explain it . its hard.

It's really insane how both of them ended up being so close to dol9hin, both of them worked with her so closely as teammates. Dol9's inactivity and eventually her leaving affected both of them so hard, Nem never really got his closure and he never really got to make peace. They're left with things they can't even say because she's gone. Stormz ended up abandoned and alone all over again because of her leaving, she moved on while he was still there and snowballed into getting worse. In a way, Dol9hin made both of them feel so beaten down.

They never really got to keep a team, either. For different reasons, of course, but still - flitting through team by team and never really having anything substantial, never really confident in your standing. Making that conscious decision to keep growing is what separated them, i think. And Nem(in specific) being a big pointer to Stormzs betterment in how their relationship with eachother mended in energy games by Stormzs own actions and decisions is super neat.

Stormzs character development is such a hefty thing because it's been coming for such a long time. I won't say much right now, but it's been such an uphill battle and all it needed was a push. Stormz being unable to go back to TB island - the world border that shrunk because of honored event; directly connected to the events that led in him getting Heretic which snowballed into the worst time in his life. His relapse that was reaching a peak was genuinely blocked because of his actions, his remisciening on the past was denied because of his actions after. Then he was faced with Kantje, and he couldn't keep running into a wall, he couldn't pick up his violence, because that didn't work. It wouldn't. Stormz has always been the type to get back up again - no matter what , because he needs to get up. He's used to moving, used to running, but the movement he pursued was after distraction. This time its confrontation. Him actively making decisions that aren't destructive are... so neat. His first comm was that he would fight pinity himself but he stepped back and let bunny buddies take the lead. It's so. sigh. Also don't get me started on the Dumbisdumb bullshit. Also, i wouldn't say it's other people helping Stormz, it's him making decisions that won't batter his relationships dead.

on a tangent bc im curious, are you a fan of the pvp? idk if it's a misconception but it feels that a majority of bliss tumblr ppl aren't really locked in on the pvp & more locked in on the lore (which is super fair)

Tbh. I feel like being a fan of pvp-anarchy servers you gotta enjoy the pvp too. Its like sports LOL point at the screen and cheer for your team.

You have to understand. At heart, I am and will always be a powerscaling timmy. It's my backstory. I may not Pvp myself, but I looooveee watching PvP so much. 1v1s or Big mosh pit fights, they are such a delight to watch. It's also super fun to nitpick details on how your POV fights or pick up stuff from here and there after watching so much PvP LOL. Sometimes I feel like a loser when I desperately want two members/people to fight eachother just so I can see who is comparatively better, it really spiked up in the QvsHazel fight where Q was doing really, really good.

Also comms with Pinity in particular and him being an absolute agro demon and going for drops which is... kinda impossible in Bliss Kit so he does just drop LOL.

There was a time when the Bliss Kit got changed to neth and Stormz commed on stream that he fought Mugm and he might be the second best on server and I started praying to God that we got more off-Bliss 1v1 fights with Bliss Members because... I need To See... I wish more Bliss Members did PVP streams. sigh.

Also, Pvp/Group fight comms are always so interesting to me. The coordination and communication that goes into effective output to the opposing side is sooo fun. I don't fully know how to describe it, but the sheer focus and shifting into 'roles' of support/defense and agro is really neat.

How SMP fights start in general is super fun too. Sometimes, It's out of nowhere, Sometimes, you already get that uneasy feeling of tension and can sense the jump coming from a mile away. Sometimes, you hear the ominous Block Breaking sound or Footsteps in your subtitle bar. On Bliss it's super fun too with Ultra Mega seat greasers and their Obby Boxes, the strength ability with the text and sound effect is also Prime Uneasiness.

It's a big point of why i enjoy unscripted/long form mc content LOL pvp is just really fun to watch. Way back when I used to be a uu timmy, I used to be a big preacher on watching s1 in its entirety, even the fights, because I honestly just really enjoy them myself. Streams where people just log off SMPs and queue fights are number 1 streams where i can just, mindlessly focus on. Super fun. Also I'd rather watch an unscripted 4 hour fight rather than a 30 minute edited one, but that's just me i think.

stormz actually kinda putting in work with auratus as seen in the recent pika stream. might be a natural consequence of the gem's busted abilities but it was nonetheless pretty nice seeing him be able to play support/defense so well for the others during the giant alliance fight against LE. even from pika's pov I counted like at least 8 times when he saves someone from getting maced by wyll

heretic is definitely a lot weaker, especially bc it seems more suited to handling a large number of enemies (w/ life link, saws, and bleed), so it didn't feel that effective in the fight when facing off against only 4 people

overall tho the solar eclipse alliance was really fun to watch. godspeed to them though if any of them is caught alone on the server they're getting gembroken by LE lmao

I wouldnt say Heretic comparatively bad, just the fact it got used so much made it get altered every two days sooo also stormz has said that he has beat Auratus with Heretic. You are right tho, Auratus as support/defence is definitely busted as opposed to head on charging in.

Also Heretic is still nerfed pretty badly so rhats a big reason as to why it was doing jackshit LOL also Stormz yanking wyll away from people was genuinely so fucking funny. I ❤️ auratus chain sm.

the dramatic irony in stormz comparing quakitus to mugm today is like. insane to me how viscerally potent it is while being completely unintentional on stormz's end (bliss smp the most scripted unscripted server godbless never change). stormz intends the comparison entirely positively, it's meant to affirm that he acknowledges quakitus's feelings about torchblossom as Being Fair by using mugm (someone who he respects immensely) as a reference point—"the way you [quakitus] feel about TB is the same way mugm feels about TE. you're just like mugm."

but, of course, with quakitus's having secret of being Actually Evil or whatever he instead derives his own joy and amusement out of being compared to mugm, because in their extremely warped mindset mugm is the ultimate example of The Controller.

to quakitus, reputation is a tool to be used in service of Gaining More Control, and mugm's influence and reputation precedes all (something something black hole), therefore, he has Control over the entire server. like, hey, even the person controlled her during gilded—that being wyll—falls under mugm's control now (DISCLAIMER: this is completely untrue and more of q's awesome self-rationalization of her Controller/Controlled binary view on people, with her warped view on bonds and friendship he is unable to conceptualize people being Actual Equals in a dynamic)

so, by being compared to mugm, that signals to quakitus that they're doing something right. they're Winning. q even explicitly says that they want to be in mugm's position and functionally replace him come s4

however. there is another layer of irony to this. because quakitus is Dead Fucking Wrong about mugm (as per usual tbh). despite quakitus seeing him as a Controller who has Won due to q projecting his own views onto mugm's position, ironically, mugm is one of the people on the server with the least control over his situation. mugm doesn't view his reputation as a tool, it's closer to an obstacle, an inhibitor, a prison. his Main Struggle on the server is to create a legacy for himself that actually feels like himself, the weight of the sheer influence that mugm has on the server collapses in on itself and makes it so mugm has nearly no say in how he is ultimately seen by the masses.

but quakitus themself has no qualms about being two-faced, as being seen as something they're not. again, to them it's just another asset to be utilized. quakitus's position as a more 'people pleaser'-type provides her a kind of fluidity in social maneuvering that mugm's solidified role as The Villain completely lacks in comparison, and I think it's that difference that's a big reason for the stark difference in experiences that they each have despite their actually remarkably similar mindsets otherwise. and whether or not quakitus will get to learn how it actually feels in the seat of the most powerful, I guess we can only wait to see in s4 ^_^

I want to sort of use Stormz’s comment towards Quakitus from yesterday’s stream—“You’re just like Mugm”—to bring up how, like, he’s right but not in the way anybody in the scene actually thinks. Q and Mugm are genuinely very compelling foils because of how extremely similar they are, but both characters are too biased by their own perspective to identify how (that is not a complaint, it actually really adds to this moment). The rest of this post will be sort of divorced from the context that comment was made in, but I feel like talking about the truth in it before discussing it in actuality (that is, discussing the irony of it. post about that here shoutout solis) is interesting in of itself.

I think the ways they’re similar can be read on a surface level: preoccupied with control and power, prescriptive judgements of the nature of other people and of the world around them. There are of course others (that I feel like I would derail this post by talking about). But in regards to those surface level observations, I actually don’t think that’s what makes them truly similar. The way I think they’re similar is specifically because both of their worldviews are efforts to give their suffering and trauma meaning. It’s extremely difficult to face the fact that you might’ve been or are currently being badly hurt with ultimately no grander recompense, so it’s very common for people to try to derive some lesson or purpose out of pain. Most often this is also a form of trying to avoid re-encountering that pain or trauma by warping the rest of the world around it—either to compensate for or avoid acknowledging the existence of that trauma (sometimes both simultaneously, by normalizing/genericizing it). Both Quakitus’s categorization of relationships into Controller and Controlled and Mugm’s understanding of the world as a holy stage in which his role serves the highest purpose are forms of this.

But, like, before we talk about how those mindsets actually accomplish their goals as coping mechanisms we have to understand what they’re coping For. And it kind of happens that those are also extremely similar, in that Q and Mugm are both attempting to rationalize retraumatization (the initial trauma being violent and/or sudden abandonment) under different contexts.

For Mugm:

Wyll’s betrayal in S2’s finale—which lead to emotional and physical humiliation from having to fight the entire server essentially alone— was heavily traumatic for Mugm and he compensated for it in S3 by changing the way he approached teams. He creates an identity centered around servitude and usefulness rather than self-centered domination to make sure a betrayal of that magnitude would never happen again. Obviously, Nezo’s betrayal happens despite all his effort, and it’s a betrayal where Mugm is deliberately singled out and excised for performing role-servitude Too Well (and later his entire time in that team would be recontextualized as him being dehumanized and taken advantage of).

For Quakitus:

Team Friendship is of course an elephant in the room, but I’m kind of reluctant to talk about it until videos come out because we don’t know the precise ways Q coped with Silva leaving the team or what exactly happened afterward. I did want to mention it because Team Friendship is important background for her. But I actually wanted to focus on Team Mesa as sort of an origin point. You can see in her Dragon Games video how much emotional stock she placed in this team (as opposed to Team Friendship whose goals Q didn’t seem actively invested in during its time nor afterward). Mesa really seems like the first team he genuinely identified with, to the extent that he kind of came across as “team lead.” Of course, Mesa ended with both Nezo and Nufuli betraying for Brotherhood in relatively quick succession, instilling deep trust issues and insecurity in their abilities within a team. So Quakitus compensates for this by, for lack of better vocabulary, becoming a follower. They go along with what Wyll wants because doing their own thing got them punished with betrayal and they don’t trust that it won’t repeat, so they do the opposite in an effort to prevent that. Yet like Nezo with Mugm, Wyll betrays anyway and deliberately singles her out as the reason why Gilded falls apart and faults the identity she adopted as a coping mechanism. Alrey would later echo this sentiment, becoming yet another unexpected abandonment.

Both of these are instances of Mugm and Quakitus attempting to cope with their trauma by rationalizing it as a product of themselves, yet being suddenly thrust into the exact same position again even having adapted to avoid that. What this did is teach them they essentially have no control over whether they are hurt or not. Damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Which is why their mindsets become so expansive and entrenched in their identities—they are accomodating for the perceived contradictions in the “reason” why they were traumatized. I also think it’s notable that both Quakitus and Mugm’s retraumatization involves disparagment of their identity and an assessment of their worth—Quakitus in terms of her relationships and Mugm in terms of his humanity, which is where they differ and what determines the focus of their defensive worldviews.

Quakitus’s mindset causes her to understand the world through lenses of control, where people exist to be useful—The Controlled—and power involves both being able to persuade people into being used and being able to discard someone once they’re useless—The Controller. This rationalizes the circumstances of her abandonments, where she explains Mesa’s betrayals in terms of not being persuasive enough for people to stay (he was a weak Controller) and Wyll’s betrayal in terms of not being useful enough to avoid being discarded (he was an inadequate Controlled).

In her mind, the way to avoid being hurt again is therefore to become the Ultimate Controller. The Ultimate Controller has no risk of being discarded and people seek them out to be controlled by. Quakitus accomplishes both through her recently-contextualized “persona”—he acts nice and kind and moral to attract people toward him, and the fact that it is an act and he supposedly doesn’t truly care allows him to, ideally, be unaffected in the case people don’t stay. Her suffering is given meaning in that it taught her something, and now she is able to be safe and exercise power (attaining mythics and then throwing them away) because of it.

Mugm’s mindset heavily revolves around dehumanization and coping with his own, after Brotherhood was recontextualized for him. I have a separate post about how normalizing his trauma by dehumanizing the rest of the world alongside himself lets him avoid thinking about the specificity of his trauma, but it also saves his ego from the idea that there was something uniquely and categorically wrong about him that caused Nezo’s betrayal (and the subsequent conflicts afterward). In his mind the only difference between him and anyone else is that he is Performing His Role (which has shifted from Protector back again to Villain) better than them. It’s crucial to understand that he doesn’t see the world in terms of evil and good, only this role and performance idea where success and perseverence determines worth.

This idea is only further reinforced by outside factors other people like Wyll and Mani, the latter of which introduces another crucial element that shapes his later worldview—which is the idea of higher purpose. That there’s some divine purpose to certain types of role-performances and those who are good at it are “deserving” as opposed to failure, which is sin. Mugm’s role becomes the most esteemed—the thing that keeps Bliss alive. With nobody to end the server, there will be no new cycle. Bliss will rot and die. Therefore, his suffering is given meaning in that it was and is in pursuit of serving Bliss Itself—a purpose he enjoys fulfilling, literally given to him by the divine.

Now that both of these worldviews are fully developed and entrenched, and neither of these characters are exactly being subjected to such severe stress anymore, they’re able to develop actual concrete goals in accordance to their now-stable mindsets. Quakitus’s motivations as of now are primarily her own fun even at the expense of others (she has fun with the mythics, she has fun manipulating people to act how she wants, and then feel safe in knowing she can throw both away when they aren’t fun anymore), while Mugm’s still revolve almost entirely around performance (he wants a massive, exciting finale with real challenge rather than a simple, boring stomp that nobody will care about afterward). Though both are definitely hedonistic, Quakitus believes the world exists to serve her, while Mugm believes he exists to serve the world.

When looked at through the lens of Bliss being a commentary on it’s own medium as an artform, these two can be interpreted as two different philosophies on art itself—where the end-point Quakitus’s mindset posits that art is for the artist to enjoy making, while Mugm’s mindset posits that art is for the audience to enjoy seeing. And I think that sort of dynamic wouldn’t be nearly as compelling if they weren’t as similar as they are.

i personally feel like lore is the most beautiful when you can very validly argue for both sides of the issue.... i'm seeing people fully on stormz's side and i see people being fully on sans's side. like. they're both right in their own way and they're both wrong in their own way and i LOVE it i love the nuance it's beautiful

it's like. they're both doing things / did things that aren't TOO bad on their own, but the other person got very majorly caught in the crossfire

sans being naive and signing the iou thinking he wouldn't care if he lost teammates over it, leading to him Losing Teammates Over It in what would usually be a situation of you-were-under-contract-so-i-forgive-you, BUT his teammates happen to be dumb and stormz, dumb who is determined to live happily and for themself and not sacrifice themself for anyone else's comfort, and stormz with his bucketloads of trauma (RELATED TO THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE AS WELL) and abandonment issues and tendency to go the full extreme in any situation.

vs, stormz learning to grow past just chasing mythics and physical representations of power and starting to rely on himself and have More Healthy relationships, and choosing to cut sans off because he's hurt and because it's the best decision for Him. it's just that in this particular situation sans is very very hurt by this in turn and it's very sad for him and he's experiencing like a little Too much consequences for his actions...

Bliss smp Lore is indeed at its finest when you understand both sides instead of very firmly and ignorant-ly taking one side without trying to see the other side LOL or just media in general. idk.

Stormz is growing. He's healing and recovering, and although it wont be smooth sailing, it's still progress. It's unfortunate that as he's growing, the people around him seem to getting in a more contradictory or worse mindset. And it's even more unfortunate that his actions that are good for him affect other people's mental incredibly badly.

I don't know what happened(in disbelief). It was so? Lets go through the timeline. Stormz speaks with Hazel, explicitly states that he does not resent Sans and that he is the only one who can beat the shit out of him. First of all, fake idgafer. Im sorry. Stormz tried very hard to keep up that nonchalant act up even when it is just not true with Sans, his words to sans being like 'I am done trying to protect you.' That took about a nanosecond to kind of fall back on. I don't think Stormz doesn't care, i don't think the outnumbering was a fake reason - I think it was a valid reason. Shoutout honor. But you can't deny there is a lingering care left, especially with saying that he wants Sans to feel the weight of his actions.

Also yeah. Sans was basically a downward spiral. Which, you cant blame the guy, he's getting desperate. Basically being given that hope of reconciliation and even teaming, and having it be shut down so harshly after the realization of how much you care. Yikes. Cannot be good for the mental. I kinda feel for him, but I kinda don't. It's understandable the path he's going down which is incredibly synonymous to Stormz's own path, but dear god.

The thing with Dumb and Stormz is... Like Dumb said, they came in Bliss with goal of not giving a shit basically, and in the end, they ended up giving a shit anyway. And that care was thrown back into their face so harshly it kinda shocked them.

They need certainty, they can't tread the line of indecision and doubt. Them having attachments would interfere with that and it did. Dumb wants to stay with Stormz because of that attachment and care, and they know how bad Stormz is when it comes to certainty.

Stormz talks himself into circles, he said before hand about choosing the right dialogue options, and when he gets no engagement in the conversation about the choices he did make, he panics. He panics incredibly hard and spirals and oscillates to every choice in the book, which only perpetuates that unstable label.

And well. Dumb was spiralling by being quiet, by letting stormz lead the conversation and keep talking on and on until he explains himself into a worse and worse situation. Basically, they're opposites in this.

Dumb was willing to hear Stormz out and needed one thing from him, a concrete answer. But you're never supposed to let Stormz keep rambling on and on and on or let him lead the conversation, that's where he twists everything himself.

But, yeah, you are correct. Dumb was feeling very conflicted over what they needed and what they wanted. They briefly said that maybe teaming with bunny buddies is what they needed, but they still couldn't bring themselves to go. Dumb did feel like a responsibility was placed upon them by Stormz saying he was kinda dependent on Dumb,

This was a good step, i think. They still have a longs way to go but they're both doing good. I think if they keep this up, this Will Be Good.
