I have finally graduated from high school and will now be able to focus 90% of my attention to filmmaking and programming from now on (until i enlist in the Air Force for four years)!
I wish i lived in a world where nobody got tired just as long as they kept doing what they loved. that's how i feel right now, just deciding whether i should go to sleep, or stay up and keep learning and creating to better myself.
Right now, I am currently working on some proof of concept VFX shots for a short film i plan to film while school is out for this upcoming week. I am still writing up the character bio's and about ready to make a rough print of the script, i only plan for this to be a 2 minute short, but the first i have worked on for a while and needed to properly scout locations and test feasibility.I should be able to start filming this Wednesday if everything goes as planned!
Currently logging clips for the second scene of our Lex Luthor test shorts. It should be done by tomorrow.

Now i have a nice DIY Fig rig in my very small set of cinematography equipment.
This is what i have to go through just to transfer all of my files.
Still a work in progress but i have finally finished the texturing of the head! now on to the rest of the body.

Two days ago i watched some cg breakdown videos on YouTube (like ususal) but one was not much of a breakdown. some guy was doing a concept sculpt of a robot. i was inspired by his hard surface sculpting techniques to try to put them to use in a Sci-Fi Soldier model. after about 5 hours of sculpting and retopology,here is my result.

Currently working on a new portfolio website! its starting to look pretty nice, even though it is only the home page for now. this is my first time using JavaScript on a web design too. the main reason i am working on this is because I recently helped one of my dad's customers get their data off their original hard drive, and he said i could keep the old computer that I took the data off (since he got a new one). i was wondering what to do with it and thought of booting ubuntu 13.10 on the old dinosaur! sadly it would only boot the desktop background and no other GUI elements loaded. I kinda expected somthing like this from an old 2000's computer with a single core 2.00GHz Pentium 4 with 1GB DDR ram... since it was such a low powered desktop, i thought of turning it into a server! immediately i liked the idea so i set up the ubuntu 12.10 server os! at first it did not recognize the ethernet port but I eventually got it working! shortly after i tried using CMS (Content Management Systems) but i was not too pleased with it.. so i decided to make the website from scratch. and that is what the image is above. i did try to setup bind9 to get the DNS connection working but sadly i could not get it to work so I had to revert it (which was a real hassle). ill update on tumblr to show my website and when it might be up (not for certain if it even will) but for now, that's whats been going on. wow, this seems like a fucking novel, haha.
Currently editing the rough cut of my IB Film Final: The Justice Defender!
Im glad that i finally get a chance to edit for once since i have been pushed aside during most of the projects i have done to only sound supervisor or just making the title sequence. This has really given me the chance to look at Final Cut Pro X differently and admire its new features and workflows, I'm starting to LOVE FCPX!
My final render for a random project that i started working on and decided to send in to BlenderGuru’s Christmas Contest. It only took about four days to create, so it did not take a huge chunk of time out of my schedule. My inspiration for this scene was really just going up to see snow up in flagstaff, it was my first time actually seeing snow and being able to touch it first hand! i could not stop analyzing its properties though, i could not get the render to look really realistic with its shading and ambient colors but oh well, it works great with the scene.
I now have a Justin.TV account, i have had problems with it in the past but it is finally working since they made Justin.TV and Twitch.TV accounts independent from each other. Come follow me for some 3D Modelling , Animation , Coding , and Video Editing/VFX Streams and goodness! I will soon be creating some graphics for the streams to make them more aesthetically pleasing (ill be live streaming that too of course).
