That's right, I am bringing these types of au posts back.
Throughout filming for ZEXAL II, the writers' room was said to have been a constant mess. Which, according to internet gossip, was due to a tyrannical producer constantly changing plots and storylines.
In years-later interviews, the actors mentioned that it got so bad at points, there was an entire full episode which got dropped on the cutting room floor.
The episode's script was titled "One Thousand Days" and was a flashback, lore-heavy episode depicting an earlier rendition of Astral and Don Thousand's enemy origins.
Jaime Sinclair (the actor for Astral, may he rest in peace), was known to have kept showing a certain blooper reel from the lost episode while on press-tour.
Apparently, Eric Wills (Don Thousand's actor) kept leaning in very close during certain intense scenes, which would cause Sinclair to break character.
The infamous blooper depicts such a scene; where Don Thousand is monologuing to Astral and ends up leaning too close -- at which point both actors break, laughing. Sinclair is heard saying "I keep thinking he's (don thousand) gonna kiss him (astral)", and Wills responds "Yeah, fuck, I guess he wants to".
The first posting day will be on FEBRUARY 22nd!

Though it is much more tame than what he experienced in Sargasso, Astral is still susceptible to becoming overwhelmed with chaos.
And to his credit, Don Thousand is very mannered about disallowing his own potent energy to bleed into Astral when they are near each other.
But if he happens to rest with him in the garden a little too long? Leaning into the god's chest enough that the messenger's light takes on inverted-color edges?
Well. What can one do.
Besides. Don Thousand may like the way his own aura gets a little blue-stained too.
Both of them are stoic. Nearly detrimentally so.
Astral's stoicism usually come off as either blank, observant, or occasionally icy. Don Thousand's stoicism most often displays like boredom, placidness, or arrogance.
Same outward results. Different approaches.
Juuuust enough to get under each other's skin. Viscerally.
They could be speaking in the most idle and calm tones, but are actually clawing into the one another's necks.
It's terrifying.
Earth did not invent kissing. The affection had existed on Astral World since time primordial. But in the garden - with only them two - everything was new.

Many older religions would tell you that 'gods' enjoy those who are bold and brave.
So, statistical to that notion, phrasing one's wants as statement rather than question should bring stronger positive results. If you were ever to converse with one such god.
This was Astral's logic when he said, "I would like for you to kiss me."
The deity, receiver of the hypothesis-proof statement, was lounging against his hand. And though he not move from that position, those dual eyes snapped up with a quickness which belied his usual lax nature.
The two were layed below the tower, nestled in the garden. Skin cradled by the tall, morning-soft greens, and watching the chaos lilies around them chime with the wind.
Or, they had been.
Now, Don Thousand fixed the envoy with such a stare that Astral imagined crawling into the sands of the pendant's dimension and just dying there.
The clever parts of his artificial mind activated, racing to come up with any viable backtracks. It took directly defying against his instincts to keep his mouth shut, and wait for the deity's verbal response.
Earth did not invent kissing. The affection had existed on Astral World since time primordial. Which existed before earth by countless millennia.
But in the garden -- with only them two -- everything was new.
The spark of surprise seemed to snuff out, and Don Thousand returned to regarding the tinking flowers. Face once more a mask of boredom. "Would you like me to pretend I didn't hear that?"
"No," Astral replied with a ring of defense coating his voice, "I would not."
"Would you like to?" It would bring a rather callous finish to this awkward, if not secretly displayed vulnerable, moment. But if that was what the god wished for, Astral would swallow it and see that it was respected.
"How am I meant to answer that, messenger."
The envoy took his gaze to the astran skies, laying back into the grass until the lilies haloed about him like a vined cradle. Mirroring Don Thousand's earlier placid facade. "Then it would seem you have."
Just as Astral tucked himself down, Don Thousand rolled over on his arm and pushed upright.
"You have spent too long amongst human teenagers," he murmured, "If you are going to keep being petulant, then I have little reason to offer that question any further thought."
"Be silent," Astral hissed.
Don Thousand was as taken to surprise by his sudden aggression as Astral was. Though whereas the spirit froze, the god developed a newfound amusement, which rapidly molded his long features.
Astral blinked and half looked away. "I apologize. I do not know why-"
"Do you still harbor aggression towards me, messenger?"
"No." The word punctured the air between with a force that nulled its claimed truth, and the deity looked as thought he could laugh at him. This was not at all going how Astral wanted.
He tried again, "No. My words to you the last time we spoke on--" On the war. On their duel. "--on the past. I have forgiven you."
And it was not a small thing, that. Astral did not forgive lightly.
Don Thousand knew this too, but he still gave him that damningly lazy smile and said, "And I you."
They studied each other. The tease and irritation from moments before faded.
Onward the lilies chimed, scents of the not-far sea was carried on the breeze. Their hair would smell like windblown salt and chaos tinged dirt when this was over.
"Don Thousand," Astral said, leaning up to him. Nothing stoic or masked this time.
Their gazes were kept locked long enough that Astral could discern each color flecked inside his companion's irises, and his pulse stammered in its tracks.
"No."
Astral blinked. Baffled. Leaning away. "No?"
"I will not kiss you to sate your curiosity, messenger."
"Stop calling-" The poor spirit had been set off-kilter, for once he was unable to gather a good retort fast enough. "Why?" He eventually demanded.
Don Thousand must have found that petulant too because he scoffed laughter.
Rolling away to regard the scaling height of the tower, the god explained; "I do not blame you for approaching things in the ways of Order, it is all you have known," Astral resented that a little, but Don Thousand continued before he could reply. "But that, that is not something I have any interest doing in the name of clinical pursuit."
Clinical pursuit?
Did he think the envoy was being naive?
"I am not.. unaware of the intimacy and meaning behind what I asked you." Astral said, a bit defeated now.
Don Thousand glanced over to him. Silence stretched further on.
He is going to make me say it.
Astral refused to meet the stare, putting all his attention to a small lily next to him. Running his fingertips along the cold petals, praying the tremble of each finger was not too noticeable.
"I would not... ask to do that... with merely anyone. Nor do I have any intensions to ask someone else."
The visions of dying buried in the key's sands returned and felt more deeply appealing.
When he did finally glance up, he found the deity smirking at him in a way that once again stoked the envoy's rare anger.
"Do not be cruel," Astral glared. Evoking the deity's old astran name as he admonished, "If you are making fun of me, Alkaphrah-"
"Come here," Don Thousand said.
The world seemed to grow quiet. Astral's stomach flipped.
