Sehna lifts a brow, before huffing a laugh. "Wow. You unmasked me, bravo." She looks back down to her files, working on what looked to be radioactive side effects. She merely waves you away, not giving you a single glance. "Fuck off now, detective."
“you seem to make a lot of enemies around here, mad god.”
— @coi-infirmary-wing, back to bother your simons
They give a low chuckle before turning his head to look at the woman.
"Oh darling you have no idea~" they purred, body shuffling and shifting as it readjusted their skin, cleaning themselves and making himself comfortable.
"Humans dont understand so they fear us~ The Others think we're naive for attempting to save any from The One Below~ Such is our lives to have many enemies."
She hummed, arms crossed as she looked ahead. It was obvious the tension Mad God created within AT-5 was reaching a certain high. She couldn't blame them. You always fear what you can't control -- and no one could control this insane yet protective entity keeping Simon together.
Still, to hear even the other eldritch beings berated them? She was almost impressed. She thought she was the only one to be hated on sight.
"Are you?" She eventually asked, glancing at him for his reply. "Naive?"

• You're bleeding through your shirt. Don't tell me you're fine. • How long have you been walking around like this? • I'm not going to hurt you. I just need to see how bad it is. • You should have told me the moment it happened. • Hold still. I mean it. Hold still. • This is going to sting. Bite down on something if you need to. • You've been hiding this for days, haven't you. • Who did this to you? I need you to tell me who did this. • Stop being brave for five minutes and let me help you. • I've seen worse. I've also seen men die from worse, so let me look at it. • I found the bandages in the trash. You want to explain that? • Don't you dare apologize for bleeding on me. • Your hands are cold. That's not a good sign. • I'm not angry. I'm terrified. There's a difference. • Come into the light. Let me see your face. • You should have stitches. I know you won't go. So sit down and let me do what I can. • You're white as a sheet and still trying to stand up straight. • I could hear you in the night. I didn't say anything. I'm saying something now. • Don't look at it if it makes it worse. Just look at me. • It's not weak to let someone see you hurt. • You came to me. Of all the places you could have gone, you came here. • Lay back. You're not getting up until the color comes back to your face. • I'm not going to ask what happened. Not yet. First let me fix what I can. • You've been holding your left side since you walked in. Think I didn't notice? • This is going to leave a mark. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. • I've patched up a lot of people in my time. None of them scared me like you do right now. • You could have died out there. You could have died and I would have been the last person to know. • Sleep. I'll be right here when you wake up. I'm not going anywhere. • You're allowed to make a sound. Nobody's watching. • I need you to stay awake for me. Just a little longer. Talk to me. • You're lucky the cut wasn't deeper. • Stop apologizing for needing help. Stop it right now. • I've seen what it looks like when someone's used to this. That's what scares me most about you. • Tell me your name. Tell me what day it is. Stay with me. • You're going to be alright. I promise you. • You went back out there after this? With this? • Nobody takes care of you, do they? That ends tonight. • I've been gentle with you. I need you to be honest with me in return. • You're safe now. You're here, you're safe, and I've got you. Just breathe.
Blinking confusedly, the little girl looked at the large clothes over her. Her curls reach the sides of her baby face, full cheeks and golden eyes pouting at the infirmary she's in.
"Dad...? Papa...?" Her voice was quiet, scared, apprehensive.
She quickly realised her parents weren't there and worse, she was not alone. Braving on, she hold her pen like a sword, waiting on the stranger to appear.
Oh no! The Nurse has suffered off side effects from studying the ocean and has been turned back in her younger self! Your job is now to take care of a Sehna who doesn't remember the Quiet Rapture or what the COI is until she turns back.
things are getting rough... i'll let you guys know when i manage to get out of it
wasn't planned but if you play as david... you have a very specific path written just for him lmao

[VIOLENT] from @blood-reborn-simon
[ 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 ] simon has harmed someone who threatened sehna.
Blood spills on the floor. For a split second, she has the stupid reflex to move closer to help. It quickly dies as the poor bastard falls to his knees, choking and gasping and... passing before Sehna's blank face.
She watches the body pale, the confusion filling her mind along a new plan to figure out whether to save or hide the body. Despite the hurry of the situation raising, she turns to Simon.
He's smiling.
She doesn't know what expression she expected, but not a smile. After all, he hadn't smile much when she was trying to reason with the other convict growing restless. Neither did he when he closed in, lured by the loud voice of the man scared and aggressive not to allow Sehna's treatment.
She didn't expect the man to follow on his threat to ''bash her head in and use her limp little body as cover'' to escape, but she's glad she doesn't find out. She's even more glad to see such a more relaxed and reassured calm on his traits.
“Thank you,” She finally gets out before turning away from the smile. She wouldn't want to get ideas and forget the problem growing along the blood. “Do I save him or not?”
It hadn't been a conscious decision.
The other had started shouting, posturing and making threats, and-
Simon The Butcher doesn't make threats. He had given a single firm glare, a warning to back the fuck off, but the other convict had lunged for her.
A pair of medical scissors, gripped tight, and he moved, burying the blades in the front of the man's throat. Blood slicked the steel, making it hard to grasp. He doesn't come back to himself until the man collapses.
Simon's teeth are bared in a sharp, savage snarl of a grin. He can see her staring at him out of the very corner of his vision, and drops the scissors. Kicks them out of reach. Knows how this goes, already ready to raise his hands and get on his knees-
He didn't expect her to thank him. To ask his opinion.
"I avoided anything too lethal. He should recover if you do."
"Meh," She crossed her arms over her chest, head tilting as she watched the man choke. "I don't know. It's not his first time here, and I'm just glad it wasn't one of the trainee nurses. Maybe it'd be a mercy to let him die."
She stared at him a moment longer. Then turned around. She took one of the heavy bandages, but she didn't hurry.
"I'm not one to decide who lives or dies," She hummed quietly, pressing the bandage over the wound after assessing it closer. "But I'm not gonna do more than minimum. Only those who deserve it receive my best."
She glanced up at Simon, eyes softening faintly as she took in his bloody splatter.
"... Like you. Sit, I'll take care of you once I'm done with that."
His gaze flicks from the bleeding convict to the nurse. Growing more apprehensive the longer she stood motionless, the scent of blood heavy in the air. But eventually she seemingly takes pity on the idiot.
"He should know better now, at least," he murmurs.
The look in her eye is strange. Something he's not used to. But an order was an order, so he sits quietly. Glancing down at the blood coating his hand and spattered across his front as if only now registering its presence.
Sehna doesn't reply. In fact, as she very half heartedly pulled the man to a lower bed and stitch his throat, she keeps glancing at him. Not scared, not apprehensively.
Worried.
It's only mad it all the more obvious when she finally reaches him, covered in blood but calm. After a moment of staring, she softly holds her hands out to him, gloves bloody.
“... Show me your hands.”
He finds somewhere out of the way to stand as she works, quiet and withdrawn. Feeling her glance towards him every few minutes, but keeping his eyes fixed on the floor.
Even as she approaches he doesn't look up, just watching her shoes step towards him. A low hum at the order as he complies.
The blood is mostly contained to his right—he'd only needed one hand to put the man on the floor. The other is marred with hot, pink skin—a burn, stretching from his elbow clear to his palm in an irregular shape almost like a splatter. It's fresh, no doubt the reason he'd been brought here.
"... Got splashed in the laundry. Water was too hot." His voice is low as he explains. It hurts, especially where his shirt brushes against it, but he's had worse.
Sehna is gentle as she craddles his hands. She takes a cloth, putting much more care in cleaning the blood than she did stitching the previous man. She breaths out in relief when she doesn't see any wounds before turning to the burn.
She very attentively looks at it. She lifts his sleeve to ease him, then cause out of the room through the staff door. She comes back with bandages, cream- water?
"It's going to sting," She braces for his reluctance to cool his arm in the lukewarm tray. "But it will avoid a bigger scar." She stares as she brings his arm into the water before frowning at the odd form.
"... How did you got splashed?"
He's still and quiet as she wipes the blood from his skin. A slight hiss of an inhale through his teeth when she pulls up his sleeve to inspect the burn, but not much else. Lets her manipulate him without any resistance.
A shrug of his right shoulder at the question. "Happens all the time, not a big deal. Lots of stuff going on, but usually the water isn't almost boiling."
Hot, sure. Usually his hands were red and dry with cracked calluses after a shift. But not that hot.
Sehna frowns more and more with each words. “No big deal,” She repeats once she's done. Her glovex thumb very careful brushes his skin underwater, testing the wound's depth. “No big deal, he says. You're supposed to be wearing special gloves for the cleaning products alone, why weren't you wearing those for the scrubbing?”
She scoffs under her breath, barely holding her roll of eyes to instead turn and grab a small closed bowl. When she twists it open, an odd smell comes from the pale paste.
“How's the pain from 1 to 10?”
He shrugs one shoulder, clenching his jaw slightly but otherwise not reacting as she probes the burn.
"Gloves're too important to waste on laundry duty."
A sniff, and a slightly wary glance, but he doesn't try to pull away.
"Don't know. Had worse." He's had much worse. This is more of an irritation compared to the branding he'd gotten when he was captured.
"Gloves are to save ressources used to heal you guys," Sehna counters, though not unkindly. She very carefully starts applying the paste over the burn. If she glimpsed at the nasty burn of his COI branding, hell would surely storm through AT-5's station. Her eyes remain locked on his hand not to overtouch him and make him uncomfortable while still healping. "Gloves can be repaired at worse. Some medecines are gone forever. You need to take care of your body. You only got one too."
Another shrug.
"Talk to requisitions." Not like he had any sway. In fact, he's pretty sure most people would intentionally do the opposite of anything he said.
"I try. But..."
Sehna only frowns deeper. She feeks rage rising within her but forces herself to hide it. She cracks her neck in hope to light the tension in her body... Useless.
“I'll talk to Ava about it," She seethes out. "Next time you guys will be safer."
She keeps her jaw locked as she wraps his burn slowly, carefully. With such a tender calm she gives every patients, yet, for Simon, she seems to take the extra mile and be the outmost attentive to any possible hurt.

"Head engineer?" A woman enters, a clipboard in hand. A visitor badge pinned to her doctor's coat collar introduces her as 'Sehna'. "Your captain has asked me to check on you. Apparently, you're burning yourself out." She looks up. She pauses for a second, surprised at how alike Simon he looks, but she moves on - taking the tiredness under his eyes and the dehydrated signs in his skin. "How long have you been working?"
✦ ─ . @coi-wing-infirmary
Mark turned his head into the direction where the unfamiliar voice came from. She looked Like a doctor and had a visitor badge. She was new on the ship.
"I don't think i'm burning myself out.. I'm doing just fine!"
He spoke with a soft voice, yawning once.
"How long i've been working..? I started with work 12hrs ago. I had 4 big mugs of Coffee and some Donuts earlier."
Mark was indeed extremly tired. He had some dark rings under his eyes and had trouble sleeping at night. The ship was more important to him than a normal sleep schedule. Some of his fingers were covered in some band-aids and his glasses were sitting on his head.
"I mean if the Captain is worried, i should listen to whatever you're saying."
"Everyone knows about them," Sehna almost snorted. Still she remained professional. She lead Mark to the medical wing, holding her arm out just in case he needed it. She didn't rush him, but neither did she baby him.
"When's your latest thorough exam?" She asked, looking at his file, confused by the lack of consistant appointments with the previous healer.
Well.... Since that one accident with one of my experiments, i haven't really been feeling like seeing med bay from the inside."
Mark followed Sehna, yawning some more. He took her arm carefully.
"It's been years since i've been here, damn."
Sehna frowned, steadying Mark as she searched on her tablet. “I don't see anything about an incident on your file,” She was in fact rather concerned how empty it was. “I need a thorough medical history to treat you better. Are you scared of the medical wing, deliberately avoiding it?”
"I'm a bit scared, maybe... But like there was this accident...."
Mark yawned again.
"They call me the thousand degree engineer... I should've been in med bay some more with some burns on my skin... I'm kinda resistant to temperatures.. If extremly high or low temperatures touch my skin, i don't get hurt. My skin looks like an oil spill if that happens, tho.."
Sehna listened carefully, even if it didn't seem like it. In fact, her fingers tightened at the edge of the tablet. She still keeps a straight face. Relying on his words rather than the empty documents, she stays quiet until they reach the infirmary. She helps him to sit on a bed then pulls the curtains around them for privacy.
"Show me," She demanded, changing her gloves and already excepting the worse of these so called scars.
