I love how Simon’s descriptions are like

“Skinny, BROWN, short, TAN, has pants, TEXTURED HAIR, kind of a fag, SKIN THAT IS NOT WHITE, disabled, HAIR THAT DOESNT GROW ON WHITE PEOPLES HEADS, crazy eyes, NOT WHITE,”

And yet he’s still consistently cast as a white guy and people keep drawing him as a white guy even unrelated to the show. Isn’t that so funny hahaha my blood is nottttttt boiling

How did you come up with your Johnny design? Like it looks nothing like him in the movie or musical (not hating ofc I LOVE ur design) just wondering where it came from like if it just popped in ur head one day or if u like saw something and thought it would be a good design for him or smth? I love ur art so much btw

I started drawing him way before I watched the movie (I had heard it was bad and didn’t want to touch it, only watched it when I realizes Ralph Macchio was Johnny). The only things I knew was that he had dark skin, wore a denim jacket, had long greasy jet black hair, black eyes, and a scar. And ofc that he looked young and kind of like a mutt. The curls came from just the fact that I liked drawing curls more, and the double piercings are just me projecting. The tooth gap and stuff similar (freckles, moles, etc) were added after I watched the movie, becuase a lot of Ralph fans joke he has bunny teeth.
