Same person about the calendar... Hope the answer isn't really obvious or something but is there a limit to how many entries can be entered? Because they're not appearing anymore on the main page or on the date that they're tagged as? Thanks :)
Definitely no limit. In most cases like you've described, it's likely you've added an somewhere - so recheck your code. If you can't find the mistake, send me a link to your codes so I can see it.
hi! so i'm using your 2015 scrapbook calendar page and i've tried every variation of tags for the media type/date in the code but my entries still don't appear when i click on either the calendar date or the tag and i don't know what to do anymore. hope it wouldn't be too much trouble for you to tell me how the tags work? as in a specific example. please and thank you!
If you came off anon (and showed me your coding), I could probably help more. Otherwise, there isn't much for me to explain. How is your HTML/CSS knowledge, is there anything specific you don't understand? You could always read up on Isotope which is the plugin I'm using and does all the filtering.
It's actually really hard to find the codes even if we read the answer in the faqs. I've been looking for a long time now.
Here are some screencaps if it helps: this is what the whole blog post looks like, as you can see near the bottom there is this terms and agreement box I am referring to. Sometimes the box make not be visible but the Direct Link underneath should be.
If the blog looks totally different to you, could you please screencap it for me? The only browser I haven’t checked if my blog is working correctly on is IE but Chrome, Firefox and Safari should be fine.
Didn't do a Font Friday during the holidays but wanted to share this site, Ten Dollar Fonts, which has a number of quality for just (you guessed it) $10. For those of you who want to stockpile your fonts but don't want to end up spending hundreds of dollars.
Hi, first of all thank you for your wonderful themes...I love them! The reason I'm writing you is because I would like to know if it's possible to have the "extreme theme #Preview1" with the yellow header part as a "sliding header", and if possible, how can I make it. Thanks a lot xxx
Sure, its possible. You have to choose whatever sliding header you're having and maybe adjust the heights but it's definitely possible.
hi! first of all, thanks for sharing and keeping up your good work. i was wondering if in your scrapbook calendar 2015, is there a way for the media/movies/books to show only when the date is clicked in the calendar? thank you in advance for your answer!
So you mean, nothing shows at all when you first reach the page until a date is clicked? To be honest, I'm not totally sure, but it might be something achievable if you try having a look at the Isotope page and it might be explained. Sorry, I can't be of more help.
i'm sorry to bother you but i'm having trouble, in your latest theme/page, 2015 calender. i don't fine the code for the active link? the marked one, so you can know that that specific date has a movie/book coming out? you know? thanks in advance!
You don't "find" the code for the active link, you have to manually add the class "active" to the date in the calendar.
Happy New Year, everyone! Firstly, I want to thank everyone who uses my themes, likes my posts or follows this blog. I don't always say it, but I really do appreciate the messages I get (even if I don't personally reply all the time). And every time I see someone using one my themes, I still get giddy, so thank you.
It's already that time of the year - I can't believe I've been making tumblr themes for 3 (three!) years now and this is my fourth film/media table. So it might not be that much of a surprise that I ran out of ideas... and decided to stick with something more simple. This year, it's just a basic media table with a calendar. I thought the calendar could be a nice touch to make it feel more like a "yearly" thing. And it's the actual 2015 calendar dates (first column is Sunday).

By using my themes you agree to the following:
Do not remove the credits. You can move it a different place or a secondary page but it has to be somewhere visible. Not just in the source code.
Do not use my themes or pages as a base code for your own work. Do not take major chunks of my coding (for example, the whole sidebar or all the entries) and stick it with something else to then claim as your own.
Do not redistribute any of my themes or pages. Even if the credits are still in place. And especially not as an “edited” theme.

Responsive: This isn't really an "option" but the media content side is responsive based on your screen size. So for some it may only display two entries per row (for those under 1600x900px), some it will display up to three or even four.
Changing Colours:

How To Add Films/Books/TV Shows This is not formatted like a table so there are no columns and rows and no need to stick to a structure. Everytime you want to add another entry just copy/paste the code and keep adding to the list.
All the text that needs you be changed by you is in the [square brackets].
[Title] [Year]
[Director/Author]
[Source Link]

How To Tag Your Entries If you have a look at the code, you will notice you need to add two things for each film/book/TV show: [TAG:TYPE OF MEDIA] and [TAG:DATE].
[TAG:TYPE OF MEDIA] will be one of the following: film, book or tv. If you understand how Isotope works, feel free to add more categories.
[TAG:DATE] will be the date, so it can then be viewed by clicking on the calendar. It must be in the following format: full month, no space, date. For example, january1 or february21 or june31. If not tagged correctly, it will not come up on the calendar.
Star Rating Icon Font For the stars I am using the icon font, SOSA. The stars look a little nicer than the normal HTML ones with more control styling them. If you have a look at the codes you will notice that in the ratings space instead of "stars" you'll see "e" and "f" instead. The "e" is the equivalent of a gold-ish coloured star, and "f" is an empty star. If you have no idea what I just explained... just delete the e's and f's and use HTML stars.
Poster Images The image size is 200x290px and will automatically resize.
Calendar Dates (ADVANCED) On the customized preview's calendar, the days that are in use, each is highlighted/in a different colour. This has to be done manually by finding the date in the HTML and adding the "active" class.

Is there any way I could customize theme 3.04 so that the topbar with the links stick as I scroll? Thank you!
With some editing, you can change the #topbar to position: fixed. But you'll also need to add a background colour so it doesn't look weird when you scroll down. Or you could use a "sticky" plugin.
This is one that has been sitting in the drafts for months and I've been undecided about sharing it. However, I needed to clear some sideblogs for newer ideas (I really do not want to create any more) and this was the only completed one. Going to be honest and say this theme might not work for everyone and is quite limited when it comes to customization.

Customize Options
You can change all the basics including fonts, size, colours, images and links.
Full Screen Background: Like some of my previous themes, this features a background which adjusts/stretches to fit each screen. The safest size is to go for something at least 1600px wide - 1920px is the best choice. You will also need to have a suitable image for this theme to work at it's best; one where the focus is either near the top or on the sides.
Header Space: There isn't a traditional header image option. Instead the header image is determined by your background image. You can, howeve,r customize where the content/entries start. This is changed through the Header Height in the customize options, default set to300px.
Topbar Links: Option to add a subtitle. Also space to add up to 4 custom links - though each should have a little description to go with it.
Sidebar & Widgets: Choice between left or right sidebar. Default is set to Right, use the customize options if you want Left. Range of extras that can be toggle on/off include basics like the three link widgets (8 links each) and three text widgets.
Sidebar Image: There is also an optional sidebar image, automatically resized to 250px (width). Toogle between External or Tumblr Sidebar Image upload options (explained in more here).
Posts: All post types are supported and there is an option to choose between 400px or 500px posts. Please make sure you toggle only one of these options.

hi! no need to reply to this if you don't want, but i wanted to point out most of your themes look the same, i understand that you have your style but i wish as an active user of your themes that you would try new styles!!! i always look forward to your themes but lately i'm a little disappointed at how similar most of them are... i'm sorry if it sounds rude, it's not how i you to perceive this messageㅠㅠ but always thank you for sharing codes<3
To be totally honest, it's a little disheartening to hear this but at the same time, it's something I already know.
One of the reasons I haven't released many themes recently, and go on long hiatuses, is because I have no new ideas to code. I've released 42 themes in total (not including the pages) and I might have already have reached the limit of new things I can personally think of.
Also, if you mean the latest themes in particular have been similar, it's kinda supposed to. They're all part of the "minimal series" and were actually all coded within the same month. I guess it doesn't help that they all use the exact same colours because full customized live previews can do wonders in masking simple themes.
When you say try new styles, what exactly do you mean? I'm not asking to be difficult but I genuinely want to understand. My overall style is near impossible to change as it's pretty much in the way I code, but if you mean specific features and layouts, I could try it.
At the same time I'm not going to release something that I feel is too similar to what is already provided (you wouldn't even believe the number of near-completed themes I have but never released because another theme maker had something similar). And I also don't want to jump onto trend bandwagons - I've already done the full screen welcome page/header thing, anyway, I'm certainly not going to make redux themes, and I hate those update box things because I find hovering for information, insanely annoying - I guess I could try the contained theme idea.
But yeah, I'm stuck in a creative rut. I know it and it's probably going to be that way for a while.
But I guess this is a good time to take suggestions of what people want to see (leave a reply or disqus comment)?
