Pam, her daughter Claire & new baby Robyn, beautiful little girl, and Natalie called over. Robyn slept for a good couple of hours while we had a lovely lunch and woke up just after coffee for cuddles and a feed. Claire doing fantastic.
14.3.18 We found out last week thatĀ frustratingly four rounds of Folfirinox,Ā supposedly the strongest chemo you can have for PC, hasn't worked at all, the cancer has grown very slightly. The Christie consultants say MumāsĀ specific type of cancer must just be resistant to that specific type of chemoĀ frustratingly, so Mum isĀ having a break and then starting on a new chemo regime which hopefully will have betterĀ results, and some trials are being looked into further. Mum is out and about a lot more than when she was undergoing chemo, having visitors, lunching, book clubbing, mani/pedi ing, looking great & still with a full head ofĀ hair! Result!
8.3.18 Lyraās yearly birthday manicure, sparkly purple instead of green this year thankfully, and Grandma snuck a pedi in too, hot red! šš»š š¼

Surprise today! Natalie collected me and we went to Altrincham Market, was a lovely bright windy day, we had a wander then had lunch. The children played and we ate in the hall, I shared a pizza with Natalie and delicious lemon drizzle cake. In the afternoon Christine and I went to the new phone repair shop in Wilmslow so they changed the battery in Christineās phone within minutes - RESULT!

SEJ has been released! šš» š š š The brilliant Christie found the culprit - norovirus. š©. Of all the things the Madame needed! Chemo round 3 put back a week so she can regain her strength (operation get fat recommences) but at least a wk off at home doing nice stuff for a change. Thanks for everyoneās kind msgs, they help enormously x
Mum is a guest of
The Christie again, as of Mon eve. Sheād like you to know she has a private room and flat screen TV which is sweeeet, but the symptoms keeping her in arenāt so sweet... No one seems to be sure if itās a little bug or Folfirinox working its black magic side effects. Not great either way as she would like some good days in between chemo at home! If you have ways of freeing her -please try them! Failing that FaceTime her, send msgs to make her laugh & keep her going or a sexy young man. Thank you!
Daughter
15.1.18 (Monday) Mum had her 2nd round of chemo last Tuesday, was full of beans the next couple of days but is struggling at the mo - same full English of shitty symptoms she had after her first round at Christmas, with total exhaustion being the main theme unfortunately. Weāre all hoping sheāll feel an improvement this week and have some good days before round 3 next Tuesday. Mumās enjoying having visitors big and little, reading everyoneās msgs etc and most importantly is managing to eat with Super Chef Christineās and Adrianās help. Jen drove her to a hair appt Friday and she now has a chic new elfin cut that shows off her ridiculously good bone structure. Nurse Sally has been helping as usual with drug administration ā¤ļø š¤ for a better week ahead.
21.12.17 Wig shopping today at The Christie with my daughter and granddaughter. Which one will it be, youāll have to wait and see! Lyra Blue said she would share her bobbles and clips with me which was very sweet. Also started the RIVA trial today - an anti-coagulation trial as blood clots are common on chemo. Letās hope I get the drug not the placebo! Felt ok today first day after chemo though very tired š¤

Bought a hat in the event my hair falls out - told it is to be expected, poo poo š©, itās fine enough as it is and took me 63 years to grow it so a bit sad to lose it šš. I might actually see what colour it is tho š¤·š»āāļø

Lovely Sunday pottering about in the morning then went into a very wet Manchester to meet the girls (and son and son in law) to go around the Christmas markets - went on the big wheel with Amber, had half a glass of champers, a warm macaroon and a mooch around some shops and stalls, all in all a fun albeit tiring day!
