In case you haven't heard, there is a wicked influenza going around, along with a resurgence of RSV, COVID and Norovirus (with some catching more than one together), that is putting people (including children) in hospitals.

I've heard of people in the neighborhoods around me having to call ambulances over the weekend. It's very bad -- high body temps and total incapacitation from weakness, fast onset of dehydration.

This is also why many doctors' offices are requiring masks again.

If you are immunocompromised, be *extra* careful where you go the next few weeks!

Mask up, wash your hands & stay home unless it's absolutely necessary.

Well, friends…unfortunately I am back in the emergency room. Been here for almost 12hrs. Turns out your girl has the Norovirus which is causing the Gastritis/Gastrointestinal issues and it is pretty fucking painful.

I’m on Day 9 of this shit, and instead of improving it’s only gotten worse. We’re going to try a different naseau med, and something else to help with the abdominal cramps - which kick my ass every time I attempt to eat anything.

If those don’t work, they will have to admit me again. Also, huge shoutout to my coworkers, especially my AGM who was kind enough to rush me to the hospital at the end of my shift this morning.

You guys, please be careful. Wear a mask if you’re around sick people or work with the public. Protect yourselves. Because this shit ain’t no fucking joke.

just thinking about covid/norovirus, not as a worldwide disaster but a basic issue. How are you all so chill about getting sick all the time?? I used to get a cold almost yearly and it just ruins my life for a week straight. In 2023 I had the flu for 2 weeks and I was miserable!
