giyuu is not jealous. no, seriously, he's not! he might have been glaring daggers at you all morning, but he's not blaming you – he knows you're a hashira, and that sometimes that means training with, well... other hashira.
it's only natural, of course. giyuu knows you wouldn't improve if you only trained with him 100% of the time. best to hone all your skills, learn a bit from everyone. it was safer that way.
and giyuu wanted you to be safe.
but did it have to be tengen?!
that huge muscly bastard who looked at you like he was shopping for a fourth wife. giyuu hated it, it made his blood boil – and he wasn't doing a very good job of hiding it from where he stood just far enough away, with his arms crossed and serene eyes that hid a turbulence of emotions.
"what's the matter with him?" tengen teased, clearly way too aware of what he was doing. it was no mistake that he decided to train shirtless this morning.
and you followed his gaze, finally turning around to see what he meant.
giyuu almost flinched when he saw you look his way, curious. he wanted to be seen, but also he didn't, and – ugh, it was complicated.
he didn't want you to think he was jealous. he was just protective.
obviously.
but like you knew you had him completely under a spell, you lifted your hand to wave at him. a soft smile adorned your lips. and finally, for what felt like hours, giyuu finally exhaled.
how could he worry about anyone else when you looked so happy to see him?
