Hey, I just started working on a qftim remake, do you have any tips?
OOOH OHH YES! AND I’M EXCITED TO SEE!
NOW. I am no expert. Take everything i say as suggestions not laws!!! This is just how fly and I write!
1) DO NOT rely on asks. I’m not saying dont use the ask box feature, because the more people can engage and feel included in your story, the more people are gonna like it!
I’m saying do not use asks to dictate where you take your story or how you write it. It’ll get messy quick! Have a story, give yourself a plot, a setting, and write how the characters are!
2) When you answer asks, don’t close up the discussion.
Character: I’m great thanks for asking!
Character: Not so great. no.
Give your askers something to latch onto!
Character: I’m doing great! I just got a big promotion!
Character: I could be better. I’m not feeling too well after that last adventure…
3) Manage your ask box 😭 we didn’t do that and now we have the messiest inbox ever 💀 (There are over 5000 asks and we JUST went through and deleted 3000)
4) Follow your storyline! Its okay if you have to skip over an ask or save something for later! Its okay if you mess up something! You have a story to tell and you should tell it at your own pace! Its okay if something takes too long! Dont let people control your story! Its okay if you dont have an answer for an ask as well.
5) Talk to your followers! Engage! Be welcoming and friendly! But set boundaries IMMEDIATELY.
6) Plan out your story/timeline. I KNOW. I KNOW. IT SUCKS. BUT IT’LL HELP. Trust me 😭
