If you love animals please consider this:

The animal industry causes the suffering and death of over 56 billion animals every single year. That is 56 billion sweet, precious souls that were stripped of their chance at life. These animals feel pain, and while they are capable of experiencing other emotions, they probably never do considering the conditions they are put through.

The animals are tortured, kept in cramped and dirty conditions, and have many painful procedures done on them without any anesthetics.

Female dairy cows are artificially inseminated every year so they continuously produce milk. After 5 years they are typically considered ‘spent’ (no longer produce enough milk) and sent off to slaughter

Baby cows are stripped from their moms immediately after birth, causing both the baby and the mom immense stress

The babies have an unfortunate fate of either becoming veal (if they are male) or dairy cows (female) like their mothers.

The animals are all given excess hormones and antibiotics to maximize their production

Chickens have been selectively bred to produce massive amounts of eggs every year, which has caused may health problems for them. They are kept in cramped, confined conditions where they usually cannot spread their wings.

They are usually killed before reaching the age of one

Male chicks are of no use (since they do not produce eggs) and are often ground alive or dumped into garbage cans to suffocate.

I know it is easier to ignore these facts. I know it is easier for you to pretend you didn’t read this and continue eating the foods you grew up with. But I urge you all to consider this - to consider what who is on your plate. These animals are living beings. If you care about your pets, if you care about the animals you see outside or at the zoo or anywhere, then please care about the animals that are suffering for your meals. Please realize YOU can make a difference! YOU can put an end to this cruelty !! I am here to help ANYONE who is even just slightly interested in making a change! This world needs to change. These animals deserve a life, they deserve love, and they deserve happiness. Please help them achieve that future. YOU could be the reason another animal lives. If you have that choice, how could you say no?

With all these delicious plant based, cruelty free options, why would you consume dairy???? Not only is it full of puss and hormones- including the IGF-1 hormone, which is responsible for turning a calf into a 400 pound cow in a matter of months, so causing weight gain and leading to breakouts and promoting the growth of cancer cells. It’s also so cruel. People don’t realise that a cow has to be pregnant or just given birth to be able to produce milk- they are just like humans! They don’t just “magically” produce milk their whole lives for your consumption. So, they are raped with bull sperm so they are able to produce this seemingly “magical” substance that we all want access to. They give birth to a calf, but that calf cant stay! It will “steal” its mother’s milk! If a calf is male, he’ll never produce milk and is seen as economically worthless. So, he is most likely sent to slaughter as “veal” or raised for slaughter. If female, she will be taken away and have the same fate as her mother- a dairy cow being repeatedly raped over and over again so that they are able to produce milk. These vulnerable animals suffer great emotional trauma when separated from their grieving mothers on the first day of their life. Cows — whether raised for meat or dairy — develop strong bonds with their newborn calves. Like humans, mother cows carry their unborn young for nine months. However, dairy calves are taken away from their mothers within 24 hours of birth, causing severe distress to mother and calf. Grieving mother cows can be heard bellowing (sometimes for days) for their missing young.

But what happens when a cow becomes to “old” to produce good quality milk?? Its slaughtered for your dinner of course. Trapped in a cycle of forced impregnation, perpetual lactation and near constant confinement, dairy cows’ overworked bodies begin producing less milk at 4 to 5 years of age, at which point they are slaughtered. In natural conditions, cows can live 20 to 25 years.

There is more cruelty in a cup of milk than there is in a piece of steak. Would you drink your dog’s milk? No, you wouldn’t! What’s the difference between that and drinking cows milk? Hippo milk is for baby hippos, cat milk is for kittens, giraffe milk is for baby giraffes and Cows milk is for baby cows.

This isn’t even the half of it, I could go on for hours. I suggest that everyone look into consuming a plant based milk option. There are so many delicious and nutritious choices. Please do your self, the animals and the environment a favour and make the switch.
