Today I chose a song Ritsu played a lot while we were out driving around Sapporo a while ago.

We took Mio’s car to go looking for inspiration for our debut album, and that was the first time she played it. We all listened to it together more and more over the three weeks we were there, and it was one of those things that just… spoke to us. We wanted to capture a lot of different styles and things that influence or inspire us, so, this song helped us out a lot!

For today, I wanted to share a song I listened to a lot when my parents were living separately a few years ago. Back then, I struggled with my self esteem, and because my parents were never around at the same time, it was hard for me to find someone I could trust with those feelings…

Now that my parents are back together, and my confidence has improved, I come back to this song every once in a while and reminisce on those times. Getting older really makes you realize how much you blamed yourself for as a kid that was never your fault.

This band is from my dad’s hometown, and we would always listen to them together when he would occasionally drive me to school, or when we’d go on drives during the summer. My mom used to like this group as well, but over time her tastes changed a lot. Today, I’d also like to dedicate this song to someone close to me, whose birthday is today. Happy birthday, █████ █████!!!

This is a song that Mio once sent me a few years ago, and I think after a while, I’ve finally figured out why. This song is about a love that can’t be spoken about, a love that feels… wrong. The song’s speaker feels like their love for someone is greedy and without reason, so they can never confess at all. Despite all of that, they’re still in love with everything about this other person, even the air that surrounds them.

I think… Mio definitely felt this way about Ritsu for some time, and that’s why this song is so important to her. She probably felt that, since they were childhood friends, that she could never confess because it could ruin their friendship. She’s gotten over that fear now, and I’m happy this song helped her through those feelings.

I once thought that music was simply a remedy to our mortal ails; A simple tune to entertain the left hemisphere of our brains. Yet, I have often been found, as of recent, listening to some music in the radio.

Over the last week, I have been finding it quite enjoyable to listen to Regulus’ radio, APPLe, which has been known to play a few of your songs fork time to time… Matilda certainly enjoys them.

Hello from… uh, the future? The past? Anyway, I’m really happy to hear that my friends and I’s songs are bringing happiness to everyone around the… uh, space-time-continuum! And, about the whole left-brain thing; I’ve always felt that music is way more than just entertainment. Music can tell stories, make jokes, and even help ease the pain of a really hard time (it’s done all of those in my case). I think that’s why music has stood the test of time for so long, because what it can do is all up to the person behind the notes…
