That's my first painting ever I have fully rendered. So I am very proud of myself that it looks this good. Funfact: it is based of a painting by Franz Xaver Winterhalter.

Anyway, may I present: the former Queen of Malkier el'Leanna ti Arathdar Mandragoran. One of my all time favorite „Wheel of Time“ characters.

Okay, so I was thinking about my favorite Wheel of Time character again (Leanna Mandragoran) and I was wondering if she has blue eyes too. Is it in the books ever stated if blue eyes are a physical characteristics from ALL Malkieri or just from house Mandragoran? Cause, I cant really remember if any Malkieri besides Lan was ever physically described (at least so much that we know the eye color). I would think details about eye color in Malkier are primarily inferred from descriptions of specific characters rather than explicitly stated as a general characteristic of the entire population, BUT I am not sure. Especially since option number 3 is, that its just Lan who has blue eyes and maybe some of his ancestors but not the whole family or the whole nation. So I was wondering if maybe some of you remember some specific scenes or moments in the books where something was mentioned about the topic.

Wheel of time episode 5: new ships unlocked

I have to say, after digesting it a bit and rewatching episode one, I think they made the right call for Moiraine/Lan. I know there's been a lot of criticism about them behaving like two children - and it's not not wrong - but Tomas and even the others make it clear why this is happening. (Not talking about book spoiler-y other things obviously.)

Moiraine and Lan haven't had to really talk to eachother for 20 years. They've relied on the bond the way you or I rely on talking things out. It would be like losing your sight or your hearing. Of course Lan's frustrated! Of course Moiraine is closing off! They don't know how to be together without the bond! It would be weird if they weren't struggling, these two are shifty, stoic, stone-cold fucking weirdos who are now traumatized!!

Yes, BOTH of them.

Moiraine has lost her connection to the source which is directly compared to being assaulted, and Lan is completely helpless. He can't just fix it. He can't fight it. He can't even support her because she won't let him. Meanwhile it's like he's lost a limb and everybody is telling him that it isn't about him but it is. It's about both of them, grieving the loss of this powerful connection they had.

I didn’t even think that it could be from episode 1! I thought it would be from the accepted test but I love the idea that it’s when they leave Fal Dara. Like it’s a goodbye kiss cause it’s the last they’ll see each other

Saddest and most disturbing scenes in the WoT season 2 trailer:

1. Nynaeve running out of the test bleeding, the placement of her wounds is horrifying

2. Moiraine sobbing in the bathtub

3. Egwene as damane

4. Mat sitting infront of the dagger

There are more sad scenes but these hit me the most. I count number 1 and 3 definitely as disturbing.
