Norah and Alphair are somewhere on the spectrum :)

Man I’m so excited for book two and three cause this really gets into it, even with Rufus whose not necessarily on the spectrum but in the third book has his own arc relating to romance and the rejection of it (basically, not forcing or rushing it.) Norah has a similar plot line to Rufus’ also in the third book.

The second has a focus on alphair and his relationship with romance and isolation, setting up the importance of their growing friendship, and confronting Norah and Rufus in their dismissal of that. And then in the third book, after they’ve become much closer, Norah and Rufus are yet again confronted with this dilemma, as they are pursued and pursue romance, respectfully. And that’s when it all solidifies and brings them closer together again for the finale.

Not because they have to only prioritize their friendships with each other, but because they’re still healing and theirs still time to get into romance when they want to, or never at all. All three had only recently just learned a lot about friendship and being vulnerable, and for Norah specifically, romance at that time was just too much. And for Rufus he pursued it for the wrong reasons, his mind fresh on the feelings of being betrayed. Oh no I’m yapping-

Ok this au but after Phil raises Technoblade and reveals his “inevitable” fate to him, Techno immediately refuses and somehow goes to Kristin (goddess of death) to ask for a deal of some sort to keep Phil eternally safe. Kristin is like well i admire the effort here why dont i just go be at his side to protect him for a few hundred years would that suffice? And Techno is like “yeah thatll do”

So Techno has technically brought “death” to Phil, all the same. Except he just brought the actual goddess of death. She’s very amused with this entire situation

Also the wording of it being Phil’s Death as in not his demise but his Lady Death, his Kristin, his beloved wife, makes me wanna weep a little
