New Year's Resolution
I've always hated these but I have come to a point in my life that this is necessary. I promise to find a new career and write every week on this blog. My life is completely and utterly unfulfilling and I can't stand where I am. I'm taking the steps to rectify this now but I want this in writing so I can hold myself accountable.

I love my job
At work, in my cubicle, and I can hear Jordan Peterson blasting from my Managing Partner's office.
The day sodas ruined me.
I have to say today is the day that sodas ruined me. Cherry Coke will be my death and today it ruined my lunch. Damn you Cherry Coke!
Here's another one.
Sometimes the past needs to die. And you have to be the one that kills it.
Where did I go.
Had a conversation this morning with a woman. She made some compelling points about Justice and fairness. But I could only think of the bottom line. Afterwards, I felt sick to my stomach.
But I did feel sorry for the woman. I wonder. When did I say goodbye to my idealism? When did my heart turn a little colder? Where did "I" go?
The Law School Graduate
Not to be cliche but law school was a swift kick in the face. If you ever read any post on law school most people, who want, to be honest, will admit that law school is one of the most intellectually challenging experiences of their life. No other place (maybe med school) forces you to have several sleepless nights cramming as much legal knowledge as possible in order to stay above the curve; forces a “curve” which artificially creates a shark tank of overachievers and workaholics to push their mental capabilities to inhuman limits; and inevitably make many people realize that becoming a lawyer is just not for them.
Law school is a humbling experience. But life after law school can be even more sobering. There’s this glee and a general sense of relief but a modicum of sadness because this important difficult part of my life has just ended. It is, however, bittersweet. The Bar Exam looms for the vast majority of law school graduates and as of this writing the February takers of 2017 Bar Administration are either celebrating or questioning their life choices today.
Yeah, law school is a kick in the pants but the BAR is a battlefield. And I don’t know. I really don’t know. I had an idea for this post but I just wanted, to be honest in the end. Like the by-line says, this is a blog about nothing.

Anyone that tells you that bar prep is fun deserves careful scrutiny. Look into the whites of their eyes and find the truth. The countless late nights and unhealthy amounts of coffee have finally broken them. Insanity has finally taken hold!

The New York Times: The State of the Clinton-Trump Race: Is It Over? I'm one of those Republican voters that Trump pushed aside. If this holds true many Republicans like myself may either stay home, vote a third party ticket, or even vote for Clinton. I hate not exercising my right to vote and Clinton is not my first pick but I never vote straight down party lines but I rather have Clinton in office instead of Trump.
The New Yorker: Trump and the Republican Dilemma. As a Republican I can relate. Trump speaks to the far right with lunatic rhetoric and gusto bordering a third world dictator. Where do I fit in today's Republican party? I'm an outlier that is branded a liberal because I have no issue with abortion or same sex marriage. I see reason and practicality with getting along with the Left. And I prefer not to alienate voting blocks like women and Hispanics.
