Matt kept eating his sandwich as James expressed his dissatisfaction with Matt’s answer. To be honest, he wasn’t that scared of Brent, but he knew that Brent would lecture him on how it’s important not to give away plot secrets because the person he told could tell people and blah, blah, blah. Matt just liked to keep the plot secrets from James because it made him grumpy and that gave Matt a laugh. Matt finished his sandwich as James finished his rant. “He probably wants to suck it, but I just can’t give up the good likes that, you know?” Matt gave James a coy smile. “I’m shy, Jamie.” The older male focused on the potato chips grabbing some to pop into his mouth. He looked at James. “You mean Brent isn’t getting to hear all the hot and heavy shit going on in this apartment? Your amazing engineering ideas? That must suck for him. Sorry Brent,” He called out towards a lamp.
“Can’t you?” he asked through a mouthful of chips, and though his lips were hard to read, the incredulous look on his face made his thoughts on the matter clear enough. They’d only known each other for a couple of hours before Matt ‘gave up the goods,’ so that was a load of shit. The next statement out of Matt’s mouth pulled a huge laugh out of him. James was lucky he had already swallowed his food, otherwise he would have spat it all over Matt. “You, shy? Please.” James dismissed it with a scoff and a wave of his hand, only to laugh again when Matt spoke about Bret. “I dunno, you spend enough time here, maybe he bugged my apartment.” Just then, Matt apologized to a lamp, illustrating James’s point. “Maybe he slipped a bug in your pocket. We could find out… unless you’re feeling shy.”
