rewatched top gun again (made a friend watch it EHE) and slider is??? pretty much always wearing headphones??? like there are approximately four locations with him not having them; the hangar during lecture, about to fly/flying/having just flown, the locker room, and graduation. so in about half of his scenes he's got headphones.

i wonder about his taste in music frequently.

Sending this as not anonymous because literally no one is talking about it and I think it's important that we should.

I love AJ, but the fact that he uses AI disgusts me. I literally can't see him the same way anymore knowing he is contributing to the environmental issues that AI creates. Also the fact that he's using AI to promote his new film is a horrible juxtaposition and he should be shamed for using it. And it's also weird as hell how the fandom has just swept this under the carpet because I see everyone acknowledge it and just as quickly, ignore it. You can't say you hate AI but then look away when someone you admire uses it. Don't idolise them for goodness sake. And i understand that we are just "some people on the internet" and we can't single handedly stop AJ from using AI, but it pisses me off how quick people are to switch from hating on AI to ignoring the fact AJ uses and supports the use of AI.

If anyone is defending his AI use, 1. what the fuck 2. get blocked.

psa: please, please, please let ilya speak english in your fics as well as he does in the show.

it's his second language and his accent is strong, yeah, but in no way is he a bad english speaker. if no one else noticed, shane is committing microaggressions against him in the first episode (and the second, to an extent)

but russian follows the same syntactical structure as english (SVO). the biggest issue he'd have is contractions and idioms. let him have his articles (words like a, an, the). this is disrespectful!
