Re Pokopia for the nintendo skeptics

as someone who WAS a huge nintendo fan and has been made very lukewarm on them in the last 5 years, Pokopia is ACTUALLY a good game.

I played the fuck out of animal crossing during the pandemic and had pretty good success as a content creator on the game (before burning out and never touching it again after a year). It fixes a LOT of problems animal crossing had. MILD SPOILERS: You get multiple towns unlocked fairly quickly that are all the size of an animal crossing island, so you don't have to bulldoze your shit everytime you get a new idea for an esthetic. The time locked stuff is only for LARGE buildings, and you can go to another town with a new set of pokemon and work on that area or progress.

the pokemon villager ai is a lot more indepth and they actually interact with each other regularly. Im not very far in but as someone who had not bought a switch 2 and has been VERY critical of nintendo recently the game has actual crack in it and I've yet to find something worth complaining about.
