Unchanging {Open}
Pallet Town never seemed to change -- no matter how many years went by. It was comforting and frustrating all at once. He expected the town to age as he did, to grow, to widen, and advance as he would, but it did not. The little town which he grew up in, which had always seemed so endless with treasures hidden in every corner, had stayed the same. Those hidden wonders were dirty rocks, and those treasure troves were dead gardens. Green brought his hand up, running it through his hair and leaning back against the wall outside of the lab. He intended to buy enough supplies to last him through the week he would be spending holed up in the lab, researching the latest pokemon, and advances in pokemon types. The world was always advancing, and Pallet Town was eternally unchanging. Even his friends were changing, maturing into people he no longer knew. He couldnāt remember the last time heād laid eyes on Leaf, or Red. Was it last year? The year before? Maybe it was last month? He couldnāt quite recall. He shuffled about, pulling his wallet from his pocket He opened it up and thumbed through the bills inside. That should have been just enough to get him what heād need for the week. Maybe even something extra for his Pokemon. They were always so damn patient when it came to being holed up. Aside from his Charizard. That Pokemon would burn the damn place down the second he got bored. Heād have to buy even more for that Delcatty, too. Damn it. The cost of supplies seemed to grow each time he left to fetch them. He ran his fingers over the six pokeballs attached to his belt. He wouldnāt burden his pidgeot with such a mundane run⦠But, it had been a while since his pokemon were able to get out. He grasped the ball for his beloved bird pokemon and pressed down on the button, releasing the creature. The pokemon flapped his wings eagerly, before looking to his trainer for guidance. Green nodded and motioned for him to take off, which he did without a moment hesitation. He half smiled, before clipping the ball back to his belt, and digging his hands into his pockets. He began to walk off in the direction of Viridian City, glancing up to check on his companion. Itād take an hour or two to get there, at best, but the walk was exactly what he needed. Heād spent so long cooped up in the damn lab, that heād almost forgotten what it felt like to be a trainer.
