Makin' Bacon! 🥓 We got our pork back from the local butcher and its time to prepare some pork bellies and jowls. We're trying two different cure recipes, one with brown sugar and one with regular sugar. Fresh from the fermenter! These are samples from two 5 gallon batches of Hefeweisen taken on the way to racking. The one on the left was brewed with hops, the right was brewed with yarrow harvested off the farm. The yarrow really packs a punch! We have a ton of Autumn Olive on our land. It has been a thorn in our side trying to clear the land of this super prolific plant so we can use it for other purposes.
