Tried out Bishop Arts newest eatery this evening with the fiancé and my family. Gotta say, I was fairly impressed with the food. I was hesitant about actually visiting because, seriously, how can you improve on a grilled cheese?? But I've gotta say: Two enthusiastic thumbs up on the food! Decor wise.... a slash between rustic and industrial. Pretty cool light fixtures and that about it. Not very impressive but it has promise. Service. I'm gonna give them a pass for this evening. Today was the annual Mardis Gras celebration in B.A. and I'm sure our poor waiter had to deal with a lot of crazy drunks but he sure didn't seem interested in doing more than the bare minimum for us tonight. Overall, for our first trip, 3 out of 5 stars. I will be back!

A fantastic addition to our home for Valentines.  We Stopped by Ginger Fox Art Gallery  in the Bishop Arts square today.  This is one of our favorite places to visit when we make it down (and find a parking space).  Today, the artist was in house.  After we fell in love with this piece, she offered to write our names on the Kiss paper.  Awesome woman with an awesome talent.  Most definitely recommended!  Thank you!

Thought I'd start off this blog by showing you my own little slice of Oak Cliff.  My fiancé and I moved into our charming 1930's pier & beam home back in July.  We are loving our street, our neighbors, and our neighborhood so much.  Looking forward to many years of fond memories.
