Back in the day, we used the term insolence.

When she stepped out of line with her words, she was being insolent, so she’d get her face slapped. When she stuck her tongue out, she was being insolent, so she got her face slapped. When she used profanity, she was being insolent, so she got her mouth washed out with soap and she got her face slapped.

Women need this kind of correction. They crave it. When people say “modern society doesn’t accept that,” what they mean is that television has told them it’s wrong. And despite what your television may tell you, she becomes a better person when you slap the stupid out of her once in a while.

So what do you need to do?

1) Stop watching television, and,

2) Get her written consent to slap her any time you wish.

The expression of total euphoria on this girl’s face may not be completely realistic (it is Hollywood, after all), but the effects are real. When you slap her face to correct her, two things happen: she stops being insolent, and she gets wet.

There’s a reason it’s called “punch drunk love,” you know.
