He starts bringing you coffee or your favorite snacks

Tries to get to know you more than he already does

Wants to know even the most unusual things

Starts to get a little protective

But only because he wants you to be safe

If the two of you aren’t dating then he tries to work up the courage to tell you how he feels

Everyone thinks he should just tell you

It’s clear that you’re in love with him too

He realizes that he’s got to tell you or he might lose his chance

Especially after you almost get injured on a case

He tells everything to you when you two are the last people left at the precinct

And it isn’t that nice of a first date

Or so Sonny insists because he wants to cook for you

But he takes you to dinner after work

However if the two of you are dating and he’s just realized it’s love

Sonny becomes a little more affectionate

And he plans out every possible way of telling you

He knows extravagance isn’t the way to go but he feels you deserve something special

But instead he just blurts it out after you laugh at some ridiculous joke he tells

Overall Sonny is so hopelessly in love with you that you can’t help but fall in love with him too

Sonny Carisi X Reader. 

You had eagerly been looking forward to today all week. Not just because it was Friday (and not your weekend to pick up) but because Fridays were movie night-always.

Well, almost always.

There were the occasional odd days out when Sonny’s family dropped by unannounced, and he had to reschedule. Or the time you finally decided to go on a date, and reluctantly asked Sonny if you could push movie night back to Saturday instead.

So, most Fridays. And that included today.

Leaning back in your worn desk chair, you appreciated the way the hands on the wall clock pointed to twelve and six. Sonny was at his own respective desk, twirling a pen between his long fingers. Sensing your gaze on him, he turned to face you, wiggling his eyebrows and pointing at the time with the same, black pen.

You tried to stifle a laugh, rolling your eyes and returning your concentration to your laptop, willing yourself to focus on the last bit of paperwork so you could finish up and go home to a very patiently waiting Netflix.

Sonny picked up another pen and began to silently drum against the objects on his desk, and when he landed a hit on his imaginary cymbal, you smiled and shook your head, slamming your computer shut and dragging Sonny by his hand to the elevators.

That last bit of paperwork could wait.
