‘Oh, ye of little faith.’
[ she mumbles, looking to her left and placing pile a in the drawer there. the previous system was fine, but inefficient, she’s fixing it. she nods abenstmindedly, sure she’ll have his office ready for receiving guests shortly. ]
‘Speaking of which, tomorrow looks fuller than today. Two lovely little people with problems slotted at three and six. I tried to re-arrange six for four but that woman? I wish you luck. Pushy, pushy, pushy.’
[ myrtle knows business hasn’t been the best, it’s lead to her being polite over the phone, when does that happen? honestly, she’s proud. ]
❛ It’s alright, Myrtle. I appreciate the effort, at least. ❜ In his time, Phoenix had dealt with plenty of people that he’d put in the “pushy” category, and the woman in question was no exception. He hadn’t spoken to her directly, but hearing the tone ( not to mention the volume ) of her voice during her initial conversation with Myrtle was enough to give him pause and consider whether or not he was that desperate for business. ❛ Did she say what kind of case she was offering? Not that I can be too picky at this point. I’m just curious. She sounded pretty heated over the phone. ❜
