🌐 Obscure-kin-recs is a kinhelp blog open to all sources, whether I'm knowledgeable or not. Run by one mod. Here are the things I can do on this blog:
NOTE: Only assigning requests, stimboards, and doodles are open for now!
Moodboards/stimboards (for the center image I will only use official art unless the asker provides their own art - if your character doesn't have a canon appearance, I can use playbills, book covers, podcast icons, logos, etc)
Assigning things like animals, Pokémon teams, colors/color palettes, or memes/textposts
Graphics packs (collection of page decorations)
Doodles/pagedolls/icons (original art) - less likely/longer wait time
CBC designs (original art) - less likely/longer wait time
> Will not do: Advertisements/promo, canon calls, confessions, divination, donation requests, advice (I recommend @/obskinurity or @/obscure-src-hub for some of these!)

✅️ - Fictionkind, DAs, fictives, and copinglinkers
❔️- Otherkin/alterhumans (needs a different judgement of "obscure" so maybe)
❌️ - KFF, factives/kins of real people, and general requests (requester/request is not part of/intended for the above communities)
❓ What qualifies as obscure? A short guide:
AU characters
Non-canon characters
Characters that are not often discussed in their respective medias/fandoms
Different skins or outfits of a character
A version of a character only from a specific continuity/installment in a franchise
Having a source that is generally niche or not well-known
Having a source that IS well-known, but lacks fan content or recognition
OCs/headworlds
> Note: Though I will try my best to complete all requests, niche fandoms get priority. I know having a definition of "obscure" is subjective, but please follow the guidelines if at all possible. I want to cater towards those who may feel left out otherwise.
> If I make a mistake (i.e. incorrectly credited sources, misinterpreted request), please let me know! I'd be happy to fix it :)

Currently have no requests (unless my inbox isn't working, in which case please do let me know) so I am very tentatively opening back up stimboard requests! Assigning requests and doodles as detailed in pinned are also still open :)

Hi!! I was wondering if I could request a stim board of Adrian Chase “Vigilante” from Peacmaker? I’m not sure if it counts as obscure since it’s generally in the DC universe, but it does lack recognition and has a very small fandom since the show is based around a side character (and I’m pretty sure is not even part of the main universe, kind of like a spin off?). If there’s any extra information you might need to create the stim board I’m 1000% happy to answer!! Thank you so much for your time regardless, and I hope you have a fantastic day! It’s really nice to see an obscure kin blog! I don’t know if this is okay to request because the wiki isn’t the best but may I request memes/textposts relating to Cyrus Beene from Scandal? If it isn’t clear on the wiki, I was basically this very tired workaholic to my job (President’s Chief of Staff) and also um very much gay and in love with my husband because yes! And for any potential tagging purposes I’m fictionkin.

I would say so! If you were to submit a request based on this, just be specific in the types of center image/neko imagery you want me to use since there's no singular "source" :)
