Idea for my fellow beings who originally belong/came from/ will go beyond this dimension:
Create a ritual for your loved ones to summon you after death! We all have heard of demon/entity summonings, well if we are to be our entity after death, than might it be possible to be summoned? Now there are obvious dangers with this. Incredible ones. That’s why if you do it should be incredibly detailed and thought through. When I say this I mean years of thorough effort and intricacy. I haven’t began making one for myself but I most likely will unless I deem it too unwise.
Now summoning is also a very vague term. I would hope it’s possible for them to summon us onto this plane to interact face to face. However, this may not be entirely possible. It would be amazing if it was but it may not. In case, also come up with simple divination spells they could to communicate with you, even if not plane to plane. Similarly as if they were using divination to speak with a Diety or spirit. Something like what candles they’d need to use, offerings to give, maybe a dream spell so you can visit them there, maybe make your own set of divination cards/tools! But don’t think you have to stick to divination basics. It is a spell/incantation to call out for you, be creative and make it personal! Make it as complicated or as simple as you want, only you know what will catch your attention from beyond. If you can’t think of any divination tool/process that resonate with you, do some research. I’m sure there’s lots of different ones that most people don’t know about from other/ancient cultures. Be mindful of closed practices!! Be creative does not mean steal spirituality from others.
Tldr: Create a summoning ritual or/and a divination process for your loved ones to communicate to you after passing! Be safe about it though <3 If you do any of this unsafely, I am not responsible.
Disclaimer: I am not forcing anyone to do this. This is just an idea I had based on my spiritual beliefs. And again, I am not responsible if you accidentally fuck up your afterlife. If you resonate at all, repost! I’d appreciate it💗
( ♡ ) here we go, shapeshifterkin tips that aren’t just « buy lots of gear » and aestheticized consumption.
- - - disclaimer :: this ask has been sitting w me for a while bc, frankly, it’s not my lane. i’m not shapeshifterkin, which means i don’t have firsthand insight into navigating discomfort w physical identity. i’ve done what research i can & i’m offering this in good faith, but take it accordingly. if u are shapeshifterkin, please feel free to expand, or correct anything here ,, ur input will be more grounded than mine.

— learn shadowgraphy !! the art of shaping light & shadow w ur hands allows u to form the silhouettes of different animals, then shift fluidly between them.
— sever the self from the script imposed upon it. much of the frustration arises from measuring ur experience against others,, especially the more dramatic portrayals of physical or vividly mental shifts. not all thresholds announce themselves w spectacle. attend instead to the subtle: the drift of instinct, the quiet reorientation of thought, the flicker of imagination. relinquish the tyranny of what ought to occur, and dwell in what is.
— chart the constellations of your own becoming rather than pursuing singular events. when shifts arise (be they mental, emotional, or sensory) regard them as phenomena to be studied, not chased. record their conditions ! what initiated them, their intensity, their duration. over time, patterns will emerge. stress, environment, media consumption, even sleep cycles can all shape these states.
— explore the artifice of transformation as ritual practice. engage w traditions of deliberate metamorphosis. drag, fursuiting, geisha or geiko presentation, clowning. these are literally embodied inquiry into identity’s malleability.
— make transformation accessible, fluid, & cost-effective.
• keep ur hair light to allow for frequent dyeing; rely on non-permanent options such as clip-in extensions or temporary color sprays. this may be a more unconventional approach, but i used to apply eyeshadow to my hair & set w hairspray for a quick, inexpensive shift in appearance.
• favor traditional nail lacquers over gel or acrylic for flexibility in changing color. consider finishes that refract & transform under light.
• colored contacts can be striking, but if ur eyes are sensitive or upkeep is impractical, use color theory !! strategic eyeshadow placement can enhance or alter the perceived tone of your eyes.
• let posture become an extension of transformation. deliberate turns, sudden realignments, fluid transitions, measured gestures, the eloquence of stillness disrupted.
• study the architecture of the face through makeup; contour not merely to enhance, but to reconfigure.
• understand color as an alchemical force. what you wear reshapes perception.
• choose accessories as instruments of transformation. invest in pieces that transform w light or temperature, such as holographic or iridescent materials, or mood-reactive jewelry.
• cultivate a mutable silhouette through layering, asymmetry, & transformable garments. reversible jackets, adaptable hoodies, or the interplay of contrasting textures such as gloss + matte or leather + sheer.
— DIY ur own gear. while purchasing accessories like ears, fangs, or tails can be satisfying, crafting them yourself allows for precision & personalization at every level, often resulting in a deeper sense of alignment.
— immerse yourself in the shapeshifting entities beyond the familiar !!
• the aswang of the philippines
• the bultungin of west africa, artisans by day, hyenas by night
• the rakshasas of india
• the yee naaldlooshii of navajo tradition
• the obayifo of the ashanti, luminous & predatory
• the chīchyōtl of mesoamerica
• the mujina of japan, elusive in human guise
• the selkies of celtic lore, shedding skin to cross between sea and shore
within these stories lies a mirror of the enduring fascination with the fluidity of form & self !!
okkkk that’s all for now !! i hope this was somewhat helpful ♡ feel free 222 reblog this w/ more ideas — rem 🏹͙🪽⋆˙⟡
I love this community, from those who identify via spiritually to psychologically & everything in-between and outside of that- literally everyone. BUT, we need to address the elephant in the room that is TikTok therians and otherkin doing genuine harm to the community.
Our population is growing due to their work, and although it makes me happy to see so many others discovering themselves, it also makes me sad because we are seeing the meanings of words changing and yes that's how language works, but these changes are not going to be healthy long term.
I originally wasn't going to make this post until something happened the other day that made me realize how big of an issue this is. I come from a personal experience that's actively going on irl for me
Now I won't get into details out of respect for everyone's privacy, but it's important I address this. One of my siblings has discovered the otherkin label through TikTok and is now identifying as wolfkin... BUT they are now having daily meltdowns because they cannot eat from a bowl on the floor during family dinners. They are adamant at doing strictly quads because "that's what otherkin is" and they have become so mentally distressed because they feel the need to prove themselves due to what is being advertised on TikTok. They believe that they need to outwardly appear as a wolf 24/7.
I personally believe that I am a faerie shapeshifter, I believe I am one 24/7, but I'm also aware of time and place. I do not bark at people in public (yes my sibling is now doing this). It is causing them genuine mental health issues, as they are genuinely screaming and crying every day, and it doesn't help that our family is not very understanding of it, especially since my sibling is an adult still living at home. They are autistic, and take things VERY literally, they are also very lonely due to their disability and have always been desperate to find a sense of community. I've attempted to explain to them that they don't need to prove anything to anyone, and that being otherkin can mean more than quads, but they're adamant that this is right for them despite the daily breakdowns and overwhelming dysphoria, (that they admit that they didn't have before). They're in therapy, but I'm not sure how that's going since I do not live with them, everything that I know is from what I've seen during visits and what my family has told me, as they're at a loss as they were in the middle of trying to get my sibling into college. Now that they're a wolf, they have no interest in education 🙃
I'll be honest, I am worried about their safety, my whole family is. We live in the south, and people are not kind to the mentally ill being in public. (if anyone has any advice I'm genuinely willing to hear it btw)
And although I know this is an individual problem with a lot of factors outside of the otherkin community, I know my sibling is not the only person experiencing this. There have been a lot of new members of the community expressing extreme dysphoria and pressure to be like the TT creators. AND I'm seeing a lot of confusion on what being nonhuman/alterhuman is now (especially now that a lot of these TT creators are backtracking in order to save face), and I think we're in a really awkward spot as a community.
Do NOT send hate to these creators, and do not think I am advocating for their hate, trying to gatekeep, or saying that they're not part of the community- they are. They're valid, and they're real, there's just some harm coming from the lack of transparency, and I think we as a community need to stop ignoring it. We need to prioritize education.
Now to those who are new; You do not have to prove your identity to anyone. You don't need gear, you don't need to act or talk a certain way- you don't even need to let anyone know what you identify as. Live your truth, it's yours, and it's sacred. Do not let anyone dictate what is the right way to be YOU. Please do not get wrapped up in the nightmare that is overconsumerism and the blind following of trends and expectations. Do what's best for you, and if being otherkin is genuinely causing you distress, please be willing to look into why that is. Your identity should NEVER be making you mentally unwell. Now please take care of yourself, drink some water, eat a snack if you need, and make sure you get plenty of rest.
I love the alterhuman community, I knew it was going to be very important to me since I first met it. I immediately fell in love with the messages it seeks to share and its connection with nature, It didn't take me long to realize that I was also part of the community, since I was always looking for an explanation for my "strange" or not considered "human" experiences. It took me a long time to affirm my kintypes and I'm still questioning some, but one important one that I've always known is that I am an angelkin. When I first started getting involved in the alterhuman community it was mainly on social media like TikTok and YouTube, where, if you've spent enough time on the internet, you'll know there's plenty of therian content mostly focused on gear like masks, tails and ears, vocals and quadrobics. I also had the bad luck of getting into the part of the community that I didn't like, like those therians who constantly look to fakeclaim other therians. I feel really frustrated by the public image of alterhumans, it makes me angry that therians are the object of public ridicule and on the other hand, It frustrates me greatly that the community focuses so much on therians, knowing that there are many other terms. I have nothing against therians, I'm one of them too, but I would like to see more representation like other angelkins, that would be wonderful.
Well, after all that, here are two images I found on Pinterest angelcore. I loved them and wanted to share them with you. Kisses to heaven and have a good day/night
I thought p-shifting was like you physically feel like your type but i keep seeing other sources saying that "p-shifting is impossible and you cant turn into your type"
so is it like literal werewolf transformation or I feel my body changing and everything feels different, maybe both?
is it a broad definition or am i just seeing a lot of misinformation? bc depending on the definition i might identify with it
either way i still support the pawsome creatures :3
