tap, tap, tap, tap, tap – the pen he’s holding beats unrhythmically against the coffee table as he absent mindedly stares into space; the other hand cups his cheek, supporting his chin. the beat seems rather chaotic, with no set metre; rather like komaeda’s own being, seemingly doing whatever he wanted to, whatever he deemed was necessary for hope.
the tap on the shoulder rouses him from his blank stare, the pen stopping mid air– eyes blink, unfamiliar with the person before him before recognition dawns in his gaze, and he clasps his hands together. the pen clatters on the table, then drops to the floor.
he says cheerfully, as he tended to do in the presence of talent or the unknown, at the possibility of hope. the scientist approaching him? what a great honor!
“You could bother me any time as you wish, I would never forgive myself if I didn’t do everything possible that was required for talent…” ( and he meant everything, ) “ and…”
there’s a pleasant smile at the mention of his interest, because, oh, he was. he was, at the contraptions built; and while that smile seems complacent, something sparks behind his eyes, as he leans forward. anything he didn’t understand, it was in his nature to try to figure out, to determine which side was the bigger hope–
“Aha, I don’t think my interest matters.” he starts, his voice light, but it’s excessively so to the point it turns back to unconvincing. “But if my attention would help at all… Not that I’m implying it would, but I’d be happy to help. What are your inventions?”
She may have chuckled at his enthusiasm. She liked it when others were super interested in the things she made. It was a good thing she had a 3D hologram of her mansion back home so she could show him everything she owned, made, and otherwise.
“Allow me the pleasure of sitting with you and I will show you everything I’ve made and other such things. Would also tell you why I do know other certain things as well.”
She opened her mini computer and hooked a wire to it and her watch so she would have her ultimate access to her mansion. Once the computer pulled it up, there was a perfect image of her mansion. It seemed like it was the normal type of mansion on the outside, but when she showed the inside...
It took up half the area. “Hold on a second. Geeze, never could get that part to scale down. It’s just so much bigger on the inside.” She managed to shrink it down a bit and then get it to go to her lab. “Ah, here we go.”
