at first he was this 5'6 average joe, with long red hair and a minor lisp who was a hikkokomori with a blog about bento

and then he was this 6'3 gentle giant with short grey hair and round glasses, who ate a ton but never gained weight and could sleep at any time without shame. he was kind and peaceful and a smiley person, and gave off a sleepy, gentle kind of vibe

uu uh uh i dunno if this refers to an intrinsic belief or philisophical/religious belief??? so uuuuuu i'm going to go with a more general belief

he really believes in of chivalry and manliness. he really does! he's internalized a lot of sexism coming from both his mother and his father, his father especially, but his meek, quiet, patient mother just re-inforced the ideals his father ground into him.

he harbors a lot of issues, actually, because of his belief that men should be strong, and manly, and should be able to protect women, namely because he's, other than his appearance (which is almost androgynous, even), 'traditionally feminine'. his interests aren't 'manly' at all and his chronic illness keeps him from being strong, and women have always protected him. his mother and sister, namely. he feels like he's failed as a man because of this belief, and it really contributes to his anxiety, which, of course, loops back into undermining his patriarchal beliefs.
