Beacause I primarily use photography to develop my awareness of things beyond our ordinary way of perceiving them, I have decided to strip my gear to the bare minimum and not get caught up in the distractions of beauty, technique, instant result & apparatus. This is from my first trip to Inner Mongolia. This wonderful couple offered us to stay in one of their yurts overnight, even though they had to watch over their ewes all night. As you can see, motorbikes have replaced the powerful Mongol horses ;-)
