I'll be keeping this blog up as an archive for what happened and to continue to update the predator's socials as I receive news about him. I will try to reply to any relevant messages or asks if they come in, but it may take time for any responses because I'm not on tumblr very often.

would it be far-fetched to say octocon shut down due to "mental health" so soon after saying "we wont shut down anytime soon" because atlas didnt want to take accountability after finding out about the beware. because honestly this shut-down came out of nowhere literally a day after Atlas made a whole announcement trying to debunk everything or whatever.

This is a bit of a reach. He has been aware of this blog since my first post, and the predator has been banned. While I personally do not trust him anymore due to his decisions and how he reacted, he has apologized for the incident. With the shutdown announcement of simplyplural, both ampersand and octocon were hit with a large influx of users, many of them being extremely entitled with no idea how hard app development is. The existence of my blog likely had a hand in Octocon's shutdown, but if the alternative was me not posting the original decision to harbor a predator I would have made this blog anyway knowing the risk.
I was a vocal Octocon supporter until I learned about that decision. I still personally sympathize with the developers of the different projects on some level because the system community is an extremely hard one to manage. I typically stay away from the community due to these reasons. It's also hard to upkeep these projects while having mental health issues or life just getting in the way. There is a reason why all three apps are on hiatus or being shut down.
Multiple people have decided to start their own apps in light of the shutdowns. While the chances of this happening are low, I'm hoping a handful will get to a stable release where people now have a choice of different apps to use depending on their needs.
Sort of adjacent question about the announcement atlas made, what’s this about sharing “fake evidence” about how one of the mods was an abusers which was “shared by an abusive Ex of theirs”?? Or something to that extent.

I don't really care. He can paint this blog in whatever way he wants. I have no interest in manipulating how I present to the internet to be seen as anything or anyone specific, and I'm not going to hand hold every person who misunderstood or never read the information posted. I'm really less of a person on here and more of an information hoarder.
All I do is answer any questions that seem worth answering, or post evidence of any dangerous behavior the developer or staff have been doing with permission from the victims. This blog was never meant to be about me, so it feels weird that I consistently get asks about how I feel about what Atlas has chosen to believe or say about me. Last I checked, I am seen as part of a "hate movement" whose goal is to "permanently burn" Octocon "to the ground".

alot of people are moving to octocon because of the simplyplural shutdown. do you recommend any other apps or websites for systems?
It seems like the primary apps and websites I have been using are on hiatus and/or not accepting any new members. They were Ampersand and Lighthouse. I've heard people use websites and apps created for note taking, worldbuilding, or even private discord servers to help with system tracking. I personally also use my own private discord server to keep track of things.
If a Simplyplural-type app is a must, Octocon might be the only option for those that need a similar app. I've heard of other projects being started or worked on, but none were at a stable enough release to be used by anyone last time I checked. It might take a while for another Simplyplural-type app to be developed.
I would keep an eye on the terms of service for the app, and be aware of what's going on in development if anyone does decide they need it to help function. If you require that the app has a creator/team that shares the same or similar morals and values to you, Octocon may not be that app. I've received multiple claims of abuse about people involved in the app's development and moderation team. None contained any evidence, so the claims are potentially untrue, but it is still worth being wary of the team considering their track record with victims and lack of transparency.

I'm not familiar with Twitch as a platform, and I'm unsure if they would ban the predator based off of the evidence already collected of his behavior. I would appreciate if anyone who is more familiar with Twitch and deplatforming creators on Twitch reached out to me to explain if it would be possible to have him removed, or assist in that process.
could you share the announcement that was given in octocommune? i left all octocon servers a while back but im curious to see how they even handled this given how badly they’ve handled everything up until now
Unfortunately, I missed the shutdown of the server and do not have any screenshots of an announcement of the server shutdown. I can edit this post to add a screenshot or transcript of the announcement if anyone does have it on hand.
Just saw the announcement in the octocoummne server is being shut down this week on Sunday.
I do think this decision was for the better as it is woefully obvious that atlas and his chosen staff were not equipped to handle a community server of traumatized individuals. Unfortunately, it's too late for me to ever return to the app after seeing how the team responded to the presence of predators in their servers and it being publicized, but I do hope that the standards they promised to hold themselves to are actually being held, and will continue to be held in the support server.

I've never heard any claims or seen any evidence about an Octocon staff member being intersexist. I'm not active in the online community so I'm pretty out of the loop unless someone sends me evidence of an issue.

in this message a moderator confirms atlas was going to make a statement in the main server about what has been going on however 2 months later there has still been no announcement or action taken.
"As you know, most things are handled internally here! There were suggestions in the other server to make a public ban log, which I'll chase Atlas on. but since things are generally handled internally, public information is really hard to respond to in a way that will make even the most, if not all, people happy, saying this, Atlas has agreed that it's absolutely unacceptable on how late he is to making an announcement in the other server, and I'm assuming he'll agree with me here that it's also unacceptable for here, and he has said sorry quite a lot for not only being late, but for also not properly upholding the transparency policy he himself set up, as well as for a multitude of other things

They've claimed to have taken action like banning the predator in my pinned post and changing how they handle situations with predators. For the safety of the members I genuinely hope they have changed and actually care about victims. They still have not made an official announcement in the support server, so I'm unsure if the moderator was speaking out of turn or if it just isn't important enough to the team to make an announcement anymore.
i’m still shocked after reading all of this and how there’s been a lack of genuine change that has been made from the staff and moderation team. there have been many times i’ve opened tickets to voice various concerns ranging from genuinely targeted bullying and hostile behavior to members who are known for glorifying pedophilia and incest, and have even done so in the server, but little to nothing gets done. i always get the same response of “staff will keep this in mind.” i’ve talked to numerous other members about how the culture in the server is exclusionary and weirdly hostile and fake, and how complicit the staff are in this, even actively making friends with those causing problems in their server and themselves targeting users that go against those they support.
it is sad to see the divide, sad to see them not ban a known predator, and sad to see how this is continuing. thank you for spreading awareness, genuinely, it would’ve gotten swept under the rug otherwise (like most things in the octocon and commune server do)
I'm completely unsurprised that the moderators are possibly are allowing people to glorify pedophilia and incest inside of a server full of minors and abuse survivors. I have seen screenshots of a ticket opened from one member of the server to report this behavior from someone who is extremely active in the server. Moderators did respond within a reasonable timeframe, but the response was worded in a way that implied that the content was possibly ok. Genuinely disgusting behavior from the owner of the server and staff if more serious events are being glossed over. If you are able to share any screenshots of the tickets I have my DMs open. I can keep them private, or post them with your account censored if requested.

Basically, I heard that someone in the octo server was being harassed and stalked by their ex and said ex’s friends. Person opened a ticket nearly a MONTH ago and when asked to ban the accounts, staff did nothing. Once again I’ll stress the point that these people are a real danger to this person’s life to the point of thinking about going to irl authorities
With all of this in mind, surely the staff would listen and take immediate action, right?? WRONG! I found out like an hour ago that it just only got resolved yesterday!! After a whole month which is INSANE
Needless to say I’m so pissed on behalf of the original person because?? TELL ME you wouldn’t be alarmed if someone came to you with an issue like this and you wouldn’t take immediate action
Oh, and of course Atlas claimed they were too busy. Too busy to open a ticket and / or have someone else help out? It takes less than 5 minutes to do so. It’s disgusting that it took over a month for something that could’ve easily been fixed in 2 days at the most
I understand why you requested for no one to ask for evidence, but I would like to see any evidence for this in private DMs so I can personally verify the situation. I will keep it private and not post any information or screenshots other than editing this post to verify that I have seen the evidence and what you are claiming is true.
Other people have reported similar experiences but I've only been able to verify one with evidence, which is the situation with the predator that prompted me to create this blog.

this is my first time really using tumblr but i just learnt about this after somebody posted something (i didn’t see) in the octocon server questions server. it was quickly deleted but afterwards atlas spoke about tumblr and so i went searching. i’m assuming this is what it was about right? i’m kind of disgusted by the way the situation was handled. as an adult who was abused as a kid i am even more disgusted that there has been absolutely no announcement about this in the main situation. because why would i, an adult who wants to keep my disorder private, join the community server. this has been completely hidden from the main server no announcement no nothing, what the fuck. i use octocon because of its focus on privacy and now i don’t know what to do because it’s always painted itself as transparent with things going on. i don’t want to support this. i don’t know what to do.

There are other apps and websites being worked on that you could switch to, but it really depends on what you wanted to use octocon for. There's @/ampersandapp, which is completely offline and private, but it's currently in alpha and if you wanted to share your fronting status then it wouldn't be a good choice for you.
There's also @/lighthouse-app, which I have an account with, but I find I don't use often due to not having enough information to fill out most of the fields or consistent enough to use the journals. I learned that I am the most consistent using a personal discord server with channels for communication, reminders, and channels for each part/alter. I also know people who use googledocs, notion, or physical journals.
I wish you luck on finding an app or other way of logging and tracking that works for you. If I had more free time and had a stronger need for an app similar to octocon and simplyplural I would have helped create and fund one, but I do fine with my current setup and am willing to wait and see if another one will eventually surface or reach a stage of development that I'm willing to try it.

The abuse began before he joined the Octocon servers and continued through the ticket. Currently, it's believed he did not target any Octocon server members. If he did approach you, please reach out to me via tumblr DMs with evidence. If you are in any servers with this predator, I would notify the server owner immediately as he is an active threat and continues to target minors. He has started to change his usernames and hide under different accounts. His previous username was Suunn, but he has now changed it to Lustre.

The evidence and messages from the victim have been re-added to the post. The predator was targeting the victim due to this post being created, and the victim asked I remove it for their safety. I was recently asked by the victim to re-add the evidence.

The first message I received from the victim of the predator:
"Hi!! I'm the person who sent the anonymous ask about the paedophile and the fact that he was actively grooming someone while being investigated. I know this because I was the person who he groomed. I will send images over soon. I want it to be knwon he did it twice, once for a couple months when I was 15 and then for a couple months when I was 16."
An observation made by the victim of the predator:
"This one is more of something I found interesting that relates to the previous incident"
"He specifically told me he would never change his name so victims would be able to feel safe."
"Then all of this got brought up and it became popular and he suddenly changed his username to avoid it"
A final note made by the victim of the predator. It contains a rundown of the entire situation and a personal note at the end for fellow victims of pedophiles and groomers:
"When I first met Suunn it was, admittedly, not in the best situation. I was in a roleplay server and lying about my age. I did this for a multitude of reasons but they come down to three separate things. 1) I had just gotten out of another grooming situation and was targeted because I stated I was a minor and wanted to safeguard myself. 2) The roleplay server had recently changed to be 18+ and, at the time, the roleplay server was the only thing I had going for me. The idea of losing my hyperfixation and having nothing else was very distressing. 3) Simple peer pressure to confine with everyone else. Admittedly, these are all very stupid reasons to lie about your age and the 15 year old version of me was very stupid to do this. Suunn romantically pursued me thinking I was 18 and I let him because I was desperate to have the attention I previously received from my past groomer. I should also add that I am hypersexual, and due to this people with hypersexuality are more likely to put themselves in dangerous situations, especially minors. I am not using this to excuse my actions but but help explain them. I take full responsibility for these actions and understand that I made multiple people unsafe and uncomfortable. I have since apologised to those people and they were very understanding of the issue. I am still on a talking basis with one of these people and I am very grateful for their forgiveness."
"Suunn was the first and only person part of that server that I made aware of my true age. I told him after three months that I was in fact 15 and not 18. I was surprised when he said he did not care and was fine with it. I attempted to put down boundaries to protect myself again but soon fell in on them due to consistent approaches from Suunn. I believe this is called the Fawn Response."
"Suunn continued to pursue me for three more months, consistently love bombing me before cutting all contact randomly and waiting for me to desperately crawl back. And I did. Because I was 15. Eventually Suunn had enough of this and cut contact for the final time."
"Because of the nature of this entire situation and my lies I have chosen to not include any screenshots from this time. Lying about my age was a stupid thing and I don't want that action to effect the evidence I give."
"This is what leads onto the next situation. Months had went by, I blocked him to help protect myself due to friend reccomendations. I celebrated my 16th birthday. It was September 2024 in which I checked my blocked accounts page. I noticed that Suunn as well as my past groomer had the same profile picture, which made me interested to investigate. It was during this in which I saw the last message he sent was edited. He talked about how his grandparents had a similar age gap and how he couldn't get over me and asked me to reconnect with him. In a moment of weakness, I stupidly accepted."
"I once again tried to lay down ground rules. To help safeguard myself. Eventually these all fell in again. Once again, the Fawn Response. Soon enough I was being sexually and romantically pursued again. By now I was "hopelessly in love" and was desperate for the attention he gave me. I was being neglected in my life by family and friends and Suunn was practically promising all the attention I wished for. It was a dream come true. It was also during this time in which I had to return to a very neglectful and abusive household. Suunn helped me out of the situation and I felt in debt to him."
"Suunn continued to pursue me, even during the time of which he was being investigated for being a predator by Octocon. He only cut contact when he was kicked from the server, and even then that didn't last long when I tried to contact him through tumblr to find out what was happening. He continued to talk to me until cutting contact for the last time on February 13th, 2025. It just so happened that Feburary 14th 2025 was when I received an "early birthday" gift from him, consisting of Dutch snacks, some presents, and two sex toys, one of which having been previously owned and used by him."
"That leads us up to today. It is important to me that people know the entire story, not only so they're aware, but so I cannot be targeted for lying or not telling the whole truth. If you have been a victim of Suunn please reach out to this tumblr page. It is because of them I got the confidence to speak out about this issue. As for his previous victim which started all of this. I am sorry this happened to you. I could never wish something like that on anyone. I thought about making all of this anonymous at first but now I think there's no point. Suunn will know it is me no matter what. It's important to me that I speak out and let other victims know it's okay. It may not be now, it may not be ever, but with enough support and time, it'll get at least a fraction better.
