: Erm introduction because I never made one until now lmao

! Hi! I’m oda, I’m more of a variety content creator on here (I’ve made fanfics, art, headcannons and edits) but my main focus is edits.

! I post a lot of my tiktok stuff on here, mostly gba edits, under the @/hipsw1cthceo handle on tiktok.

I’m a cis-male, he/him pronouns

The main interests for audio drama are, GBA (goodboyaudios) Escaped Audios, ZSakuVA (specifically the noble trials) and I’ve done a bit on yuurivoice.

Btw, I’m the person who’s in charge of Bastards V.S Zombies: Beyond the Karma

Aside from audio drama, I like NIJISANJI EN, (like a lot) Ti Guan Ci Fu, Project Sekai and Ace Attorney. (My Oshis are Kaelix, Zeal, Vox, Shu and Vanta)

I don’t have any sort of commission open as of the moment, but I’d love to take edit requests or fanfic requests.

For BVZ OC’s I don’t really have a prominent Karmor right now, I have his design but I haven’t really drawn him that much.

I'm thinking of making a website for curated audio roleplays. YouTube's algorithm and search features suck lately and I think the community deserves a hub where VAs can distribute audios to their listeners, with some staff curation to keep out the noise of mass produced, AI generated, and cheap cash-grabby audios. Blogs on VAs/writers and serious, in depth reviews could also exist there.

A website would probably also lend more credibility if I ever want to get journalists/bloggers/podcasters etc. to cover the topic. Story-driven audios have a big enough fandom at this point to breach into mainstream awareness, but they aren't covered. The closest thing the community gets to "coverage" is big YouTubers reacting to cringe ASMR roleplays and I can't tolerate that any longer. It is time to leave the shadows. I will dig upward until I find light.

The question is: What does audio roleplay offer you, that other fictional mediums like movies, books, and videogames don't?

Probably creative development for someone’s imagination and how that can play into making listener characters, and audio drama helps with that because creators usually leave their listener characters very open-ended for the viewer to create their own headcannon of a new character.

It really helps with the creative aspect of the brain and creative liberties are always important if one wants to do anything in an artistic field :3

WE GOTTA BRING BACK AUDIO RP EDITS!!!

I mean, weren't they a big thing back in the day? Like in 2020-2022? You'd usually see them on YouTube & TikTok? You take clips of your favorite audios & mash them together with the perfect music to set the scene? Don't tell me it didn't happen. I've seen it happen. They were also pretty fun, no? At least, that's what I'm assuming since people enjoyed making them for a while. I didn't get it at first & originally thought they were cringe, but some are actually pretty good. I do have to note that you should make sure people are comfortable or not with you making edits based on/& or from their audios because it's always best to check in & ask instead of accidentally making a mess of things. Are they a forgotten treasure or are they something we'd rather leave in the past?
