so i’m gonna say it: i think the ad fandom woobifies odin too much. the comic started off with odin kidnapping maggie, taking her to his planet for god knows what reason, holding a gun to ava & tying her up, and planning to leave her on the nearest planet. and we see later in the scene that i think a lot of people choose to forget about, where he says he’s bringing back two of what he was sent out to find (meaning maggie AND ava both), so right now, while his kindness to ava seems mostly genuine, ultimately he needs her for his mission. he’s not a precious cinammon roll uwu baby - no one in the comic at all is, that’s basically the Point of the comic. he’s a very complex & intriguing character and he’s done some very.. at best, morally gray things, and that’s part of what makes him so amazing!
