hii, not sure if "reassurance" is included in kin help (in that case, feel free to disregard) but i'm in a bit of a spot i think.

i'm a kin of a fictional character who is sort of based on the persona of a real guy and i feel really embarrassed talking about it, LOL. like.. i don't want people to assume i'm claiming to be the Real Guy and it's an odd sort of shame for me. for further context, i'm builderman from TRUD/The Robloxia: Until Dawn.

I understand where you come from since i myself have kins that could make people think of that as well , the explanation to give is the lore difference of your source. For example I don't think the IRL person of builderman had to deal with killer robloxians.... thats ridiculous to compare to the actual person? There is a difference between source and the irl people for example fnaf the musical i don't think 'matpat' irl murdered people with a flamesaw?? It was just character matpat played as well as any other character within FNAF the musical. As for TRUD there is a load of diffs between the persona of the people to the characters in TRUD.

Plus its alright i'm sure other people will understand , since there are other TRUD kins out there that ik of! So I don't feel like they'd mind :D!!

Hi! I'm trying to figure out if I kin The Mimic, but I'm having a bit of trouble figuring it out because if I do kin them, it's most likely a heavily canon divergent variant based on headcanons/what might be kin memories. The standard advice is "explore the source material" but I don't think I'm the canon Mimic. I was wondering if you had any tips to help me?

For context, the version of The Mimic I might kin was built by Henry Emily as a companion for Charlie but ended up becoming sentient and Charlie called them Sammy. This version of The Mimic was like a brother to Charlie before she... well, before she died. I don't think Charlie and I were able to reunite after that.

Its all up to how you feel about it , if they feel like close memories or headcanons, like if you feel a familial bond with Charlie and Henry its most likely a kin mem! I could give you some timeline questions and if they stand out to you like oh hey yeah i did that! It could help recognize and kinfirm that you are a kin of that version of the mimic!
