What if I tell you there is no Kokichi on this art and actually nobody chowking or trying to drown Shuichi? xD A little bit of explonation (with spoilers if anybody cares): actually this art is about Shuichi's guilt On this art Kokichi is pretty much dead already. And survived students have already seen his room And because of that they kinda had to admit that he wasn't that pure evilness he tried to look like. But then they also will have to admit that he wasn't entirly in fault of everything that happend and even with everything he done, he was just one more victim of the killing game But he really done a lot of controversal things So It's kinda hard to do in some way it would be easier to continue to believe that he was evil and wanted to make their lives worse but it will complitly contradict facts and as the resoult will be kinda bs They will have to tell themselves the pretty big lie while they hated Kokichi for his lies And thats kinda why here Shuichi kinda imagine Kokichi chowking him while atcually even Kokichi he imagined doesn't do any harm to him -- bruises on Shuichis neck kinda to big to Kokichis hands exactly because they never were left by Kokichi so in some way everything you see here is Shuichi's hallucinations when he tries to find at least somebody to blaim because if there is no one else to blame, the only one left to blame is yourself
By the way inside this consept, there is 3 people in Shuichi's hallucinations: Kaede, Kokichi and the mastermind (before revial without face, after revial Tsumugi, but not only as Tsumugi but also as representation of all viewers) Kokichi there is the one who messed with all of them and especially Shuichi, tortured them and even after his death deprives them of a simple answer and a life without regrets Kaede is person who gave Shuichi reasone to continue but also a persone who in some way put a knife into his hands. Person from whom Shuichi could wait to come and magicly solve all problems, but the said person never would and in fact all their actions will lead to even more violence then it was before they said anything. And the mastermind, thats funny, but voice of facts, rationality and logic. That exact cruel truth Shuichi look for and afraid of at the same time
