Safari 13 and New XKit

Today, Apple began rolling out version 13 of Safari which removes support for non-app extensions, including XKit. Unfortunately, we have not been able to complete porting New XKit to an app extension in time. We are working on rewriting the Safari support code as a native app extension but it’s a bit difficult since Apple chose to invent their own ecosystem instead of supporting the growing industry standard of WebExtensions.

During our repeated attempts to figure out the intricacies of Apple’s harebrained API and extension structure we recommend that you use New XKit on another browser. You can also try using the workaround detailed in this post: http://osxdaily.com/2019/02/08/bypass-safari-no-longer-supports-unsafe-extension-error-mac/ with the .safariextz file from https://github.com/new-xkit/XKit/releases/latest but people have reported mixed results.
