Like any other morning, Greyson was functioning on little to no sleep. It didnât hinder him too much, as his body was now accustomed to it, but still some times he longed for the pleasure that his bed in the morning had to offer. As he observed his bed over, there was one very feminine leg sticking out from his covers, waves of blonde hair spilled over his pillow, and the pheromone of sex still embraced the air from last night. A moment passed as he watched her, still motionless other than the soft rise and fall of the duvet as she continued to breathe. Truly he loathed to do this, his arm flexed as he ran a hand down his face preparing as he let out a breath and then cleared his throat loudly.
He cleared his throat again and this time did so closer to the woman who lay there. She stirred, and when she looked over at him he did up his cuff links as he smiled down at her, there was no kindness to his smile. âYou should get going.â Greyson stated in a matter of fact manner. âIâve got things to do. Get your belongings together and let yourself out. Iâll have my driver waiting to take you home.â He opted for a walk this morning to work, he didnât live far, and he wanted to stop in at the cafe for a coffee and breakfast.
With it being just around the corner he opened the door and was welcomed by the familiar scent of burning coffee beans, a tug at the corner of his mouth had him smirking until someone bumped into him. âNot to worry, I wasnât holding my coffee yet.â He offered her a casual wink and then grabbed the coffee the barista was holding out to him. âMornings can be hazardous, you should be careful.â
Her exhaustion was bound to catch up with her eventually throughout the day, thats what happened when one had to lead a normal life and then run around all night. But it was so beyond worth it to her. Talia would get her rest later, perhaps sheâd hide away in one of the manager offices at the fitness centre and nap there. Sheâd had far worse.
Bumping into him was like hitting a wall of overpowering scents, from his extra curricular activities in bed to the overwhelming smell of his aftershave... or was it his cologne? She couldnât tell but she didnât want to stand too close for fear it would make her eyes water. It wasnât strong or overpowering, her senses were still balancing out and clearly she wasnât prepared.
âHave a busy night Mayor Greyson?â There as slight grin dancing across her lips, clearly her common sense and better judgement hadnât yet caught up to her this morning, it took all she had not to outright laugh or giggle. She could guess the kind of man that he was, sheâd seen them before, the kind that flirted with everyone and thought himself such a smooth talker.
