Both Elidibus and Venat wore white because they had retired from their tasks. Venat became soaked in black once she found her new purpose no matter how much it changed her. Elidibus never donned the black again because he could no longer remember his own. K thanks bye.

Tataru’s missing Carbuncle has been found!
And Thubrygeim DID say that Tataru’s summoning of her carbuncle was particularly good due to Tataru’s math skills…

Still cannot get over Endwalker's themes of bonds of love, faith, hope, and the importance of peer review.
They took away our fucked up grapes?
“Remember us… remember that we once lived”
Alphinaud and Alisaie Leveilleur from Final Fantasy XIV
Finally finally FINALLY finished Endwalker… Jesus fucking Christ… FUCK this shitty year and FUCK the holidays… I may have failed at pretty much every other aspect of my life lately, but I finished Endwalker and I recorded all of it! I know I’ll be very late but I may be posting my story playthrough to YouTube if I can get enough time to get it edited.
Also, so happy to be back online and able to look at fun fandom stuff without fear of spoilers! Can’t wait to see what the community is up to!
A TEST OF YOUR REFLEXES!

I listened to some SWTOR music and imagined what I hope to be the Werlyt arc ending.
Me, too. For an expansion whose main theme has been “hope”, Gaius has had very little hope in his life. Post-Praetorium, he’s existed only to enact revenge against the Ascians. He’s trying to stop the mistakes in his past from causing further harm, and is only inviting more heartbreak onto himself. He has nothing to live for right now. His adopted/foster children are dying one patch at a time, and the only question that remains is not “if” but “who?” Which one of the three remaining kids will be next? Probably Rex, but the game could throw us another bait-and-switch and get rid of Alfonse or Allie in 5.4, and then the remaining one or two in 5.5. If he’s lucky, he’ll have one child left alive at the conclusion of the arc, but he could also lose them all. Gaius thinks he knows his life’s path. Get rid of the Ascians, stop the Weapons project for good, then submit himself to Vauldelin to be killed per their agreement. His end path ends in inevitable death. He has nothing to live for anymore. He’s just a machine, going through the motions until he dies.
But he needs that hope. He can’t keep going on at a robotic pace. His warped view of “if I eliminate the Ascians it will make up for all the wrong I’ve done” is such a completely black-and-white view. It completely fits a decorated career military man like him, but Gaius ends up doing his best when he’s swerved off his railroaded life course. When he was defeated by the WoL in Praetorium, his core beliefs were shattered. In return, he became a powerful ally in the fight against the Ascians. He needs a bit of hope to shake him from his acceptance of his eventual death. If that happens, I’m curious to see how that will further steel his resolve against Garlemald. The Alliance has a powerful ally in their hands, but Gaius is content to remain on the sidelines doing his own thing. He needs that hope to thrust him back into the spotlight and lead Garlemald to a newer, brighter future. (Hopefully in 6.0)
Plus, the WoL is the one who always brings hope to people. That’s been the entire backstory of the Shadowbringer’s expansion. It would be nice if our character was the one who ended up bringing hope back into Gaius’ life, too.
