“It’s good to see her teaching stick with you a little, either way I’m not super happy to go against her.” Bucky replied looking at him taking the phone to overlook the file after all he might actually know the person. “You aren’t the first person to tell me to get a little animal, I’m thinking Cats are more my style though.” He mused petting Lucky before nodding his head “He seems familiar but nothing springs to mind like the other hydra agents do, so paper pusher might bee the best way of describing him, I suppose it would be nice to clean up of hydra mess, plus it sounds like a great bonding experience for us huh Hawkeye?”
.
“i gotta keep her on her toes, can’t be too logical or else what will she do in strike team delta?” clint laughed before leaning forward to grab his coffee, taking a sip “speaking of our favourite russian spy... you ask her out yet?” he could have been subtle about it, but damn it, clint was curious and he wanted all the hot gossip... but more importantly he wanted nat to be happy so if had to give the shovel talk to the greatest assassian in known history then so be it. “alright frosty!” the blonde cheered “i’m so excited for girls night. shame you cut your hair... it would have been fun to braid.”
[ cfblackwidow ]
“Well, it’s definitely a look,” she laughed. nat herself was sporting some new bruising from the chinatown mission, but given how hard she was slammed into the wall things could’ve been much worse both for herself and the wall. she was counting her blessings even though the whole thing triggered some memories and guilty feelings she thought she was over. she slid clint some coffee to help his groggy ass wake up a little more. “why do you look like death?” she laughed. she knew loki was trying to get clint to actually mind his p’s and q’s when it came to taking care of himself. “don’t tell me you’re going through junk food withdrawal.”
.
seeing the coffee clint practically lunged forward to grab it “my sweet bean juice.” he whispered at the cup almost how gollum talked about the ring in that one movie. “my sweet ‘tasha, my ride or die, bestie... you are an angel i swear. if i wasn’t basically married to a god i’d start a religion for you.” he held the cup in his hands, taking a long sniff before downing the entire cup “i’ve also been sleeping like eight hours a night... i don’t know how people function like this. i feel like death walking.”

Loki looked at the other pouting cutely “Not even a little upper body strength to toss me into a bed and have your wicked way with me?” He whispered into Clint’s ear smirking before shaking his head “I’m old enough to know how much I love you and that I want to spend my life with you.” He mused pulling his lover closer chuckling softly. Either way he knew that time worked differently here on Midgard compared to Asgard but part of him hopped for Thor’s approval if only to be able to gift Clint a golden apple to extend his life. “You would die without Antonio but not me? how rude Hawk, I shall have no choice but to make Antonio there my new lover.” He teased before shaking his head “Please he’d let you so long as Lucky didn’t tag along, dog hair and pizza sauce doesn’t mix love.”
.
the blonde grinned “hmmm, maybe you’ll have to show me how to do that one of these days… i’m sure all of those years of life experiences can show a young thing like me something new.” clint teased. he understood why things in their relationship were the way they were, loki was immensely stronger than clint was and he could easily get hurt on accident, but clint trusted loki and he couldn’t help but want the tables to turn every so often “i said i would die without pizza. in this hypothetical scenario i’m alone, you and lucky are off somewhere not post-apocalyptic.” he explained “which is why i can’t. i’d probably lose my head some days without that furball. he may be missing an eye and be incredibly lazy but he remembers that service dog training he had.”

she hid the tinge of annoyance at being called kiddo, perhaps it was from the lack of adults around when she wasn’t working. it suddenly made her realize how boring her life may seem, work and home, a classic tale of old times. glancing to the ‘criminal’ the other guy referred to, the animal was definitely pleased with itself enough to even make her smile, just a little though. “the mess isn’t a problem did – you need him cleaned too? you can request it through the agency.” she offered, actually finding a bit of time with a dog pleasing. they didn’t talk back like humans.
.
clint could tell that he’d done something to make her a bit uncomfortable, he was usually able to pick up on things like that because of his training, but he wasn’t gonna push her. “i called his groomer before you got here. lucky’s been going to them since before i adopted him and if i let anyone else touch him that old russian would slit my throat.” he laughed and walked into the kitchen “i’m not quite sure how he did it but he managed to get into the bags of flour and get them everywhere. if i wasn’t having to open up alone i’d clean it myself but it’s just me this morning.”

“That she is, Natasha is pretty smart I guess we are doing right by listening to her.” Bucky mused looking at the other chuckling softly before nodding his head “ At one point I’d love to have someone with life experiences as me, but they are all in the nursing homes. I don’t think I could hang with some of these kids now a days without having someone patience with me and all my baggage. Dating isn’t really on my mind if I think about it, hard to even take care of myself some days.” He replied looking at the other shaking his head “Your husband would love you regardless but the lack of beefcakeness I’m sure works in your favor.” He thought for a moment shrugging his shoulders “I’m don’t know its all I’m trained to do, I’ve been handing freelance work lately turning in people from my past that I can remember for now that’s enough.” He replied honestly looking at the other before chuckling “A little agent of shield test run huh? I suppose that could be fun, I’d have to run it by my therapist given that if I miss one of our appointments they’ll arrest me on sight. But I wouldn’t mind helping taking them down maybe I know him.”
.
“i’ve never known her to make a wrong decision so i tend to do what she tells me... well, when she’s around at least.” clint chuckled before pulling his phone out to let bucky look at the file he’d been sent on the hydra operative “i get it. you gotta work on yourself before you can be with someone. even i struggle with taking care of myself but having lucky makes me get out of bed on those days.” clint knew that most people probably assumed that he had things together, the whole dumbass persona helped with that, but there were plenty of days where he had to battle with the thoughts in his own head. once he pulled the file up, the blonde handed bucky his phone “our intel suggests that he’s more of a paper pusher but you can never be too sure with hydra.”
[ oflokismischief ]
“Oh Yes because getting my ass kicked but Natasha is on my bucket list love, if anything I’d rather have you throw me around like a ragdoll.” Loki Mused laughing shaking his head “What? totally your fault, but then again you know my sliver tongue is very effective at getting you to agree to my demands.” He placed a kiss on Clint’s hand. this was beyond perfect, he never felt like he had to hide who he was with Clint, he never felt the man using him either. But there was the sad fact that Clint was very much human, and one day he’d have to watch him die he quickly pushed the thought away as soon as it came. “I mean I don’t see why not, out of sheer will and entrance that you get all the twinkies that will also survive” He chuckled opening the door to Clint’s favorite Pizza place.
.
clint snorted "dear, i don't have the upper body strength to do that." he let out a laugh before gently poking loki's chest "i may have made it bigger but it was there before me... you're how old again? oooh, say it again that sounded good." the blonde teased, knowing exactly what he was getting himself into. it was so natural being with loki, as if they'd been together much longer than they really had "as long as it's not like that one movie. with the zombies and that guy who just wanted a twinkie but all he could find were snowballs... actually no, there'd be no pizza and i'd probably die because of that." the blonde shook his head as they entered the small shop, being hit instantly with the glorious smell of pizza made him let out a happy sigh "ahhhh, i'd live here if antonio would let me."

billy recalled his professor having mentioned a guest lecturer. he didn’t hold out hope for it to be someone good, quite frankly. when he was a hero himself, as much as billy wanted to do the publicity thing, the world was in danger all too often for that. plus, he was sucky as a teacher. most heroes were naturals (well, he wasn’t a natural either, but still). so you could imagine his utter shock at laying eyes on clint barton sitting right beside him, dressed in casual wear and easily blending in. he remembered the man all too well, he and wanda had been close. so when billy came into the picture of wanda’s life, he entered clint’s too. he remembered hot coco, and knitted sweaters, and all the things he’d never done with his ‘adopted’ parent’s parents. sure clint wasn’t wanda’s dad technically, but he always felt like something of a grandfather. of course, his clint had been significantly older then the one beside him.”i, uh, you..” was he supposed to act like he didn’t recognize him? how? the idea was impossible. “yeah, professor sidebu- i mean professor burnts, isn’t very- uh, punctual.” kind of like billy right now in his blabber.
.
normally he'd question the kids strange behavior but he honestly was still half asleep so he didn't push it. "well, seems like he's still the same s.o.b. i knew. " clint sighed before taking a long swig of the coffee. "if i didn't owe him from this op in madripoor lucky and i would be back in bed." the blonde shook his head. "i'll make sure to tell some embarrassing stories about him as payback." feeling a nudge against his leg, clint looked down at lucky "don't give me that look bud, it was so early we couldn't even get breakfast pizza! that calls for payback."

the app she’d been using to find work dinged almost an hour ago letting her know there was a place needing a scrub. of course dani prayed it wasn’t a college kids place, they were worse than the rich snobs who through mass parties… yet standing outside the door, the decent buzzer seemed like a good sign, nothing too run down here. gently pressing the button a long pause before a noise came through.
“uh hey – hi, i’m danielle. you called for a cleaning service?”
.
it was a well known fact that clint barton was a walking disaster, it was part of his charm really, but this time he was in a pickle. the morning had started out relatively normal, clint was getting the shop ready to open when he hears a calamity from the kitchen quickly followed by a flour covered lucky running away from the scene like a bat out of hell. normally he'd clean it himself but he was the only one opening today and he still had too much to do up front so a cleaning service it was. he smiled at the sound of the buzzer and quickly ran to the back door. "yes, hi! come on in kiddo." the blonde grinned as he held the door open for her "don't mind the powder covered criminal over there, he's grounded from pizza today for all the mess." clint pointed at the criminal labrador in question "it's just through here."
I have a bad father figure (like Clint) and my brother tried to steal all my money (like Barney) so i know how it feels that level of disappointment. All of that give you trust issues and in consecuence you become bad at relationships (like Clint again). So can you write a happy ending for that? Just to believe that all will be okay. Idk, a fic of how Clint learn to believe in people again, how he overcome that horribles situations. (sorry my english, im from Argentina)
Shit went down the drain in seven minutes. Seven minutes from “Don’t worry, I have this!” to “Oh fuck!”
Clint was with SHIELD for six months now. Six months since Coulson recruited him, told him he would help him, would get him a job, a purpose so to speak. Six months of training and learning and now he was here, in the middle of the biggest clusterfuck ever.
“Trust me,” Coulson had said back then. And Clint had tried to. He had accepted his offer to join SHIELD, he went through all the shit he had to, he was a SHIELD agent.
And Coulson had left him. Like everyone in his life before. Like his parents, who died, like his brother, who stole all his money and disappeared, like Buck and Jacques, who only needed him for their dirty business… and now he was alone again. No support, no evacuation plan, no nothing… nothing, except from a bunch of guys on his heels, trying to kill him. Sure, he had killed their boss first, that was his mission, but SHIELD was supposed to get him out, Coulson was supposed to get him out. Coulson had promised it. He was on the run, bleeding, bruised… and alone.
Clint hid behind a small wall, his bow in his hand and only four arrows left. He took one of them, aimed and managed to shoot two of his followers with it but now they knew where he was and he had to run again. He was completely out of ammo for his gun and now he had only three arrows left.
“Over there!” one of the guys yelled and Clint cursed, grabbed his bow and ran again. He nocked another arrow and shot while still running. Two arrows left. But then he ran out of luck. He sped around another corner in the town when he ran into a group of his pursuers. One of them shot at him, hit his leg and Clint fell. He lay on the ground and they came closer.
“Fuck!” Clint cursed, took his next-to-last arrow, nocked it… when he heard a quinjet arrive. The gun attached to it started to shoot and the guys dropped dead. More shots and more guys fell and then the jet landed in front of him. The hatch opened and…
“Coulson!” Clint breathed and the older man smiled and put on his shades. “Where have you been?” he snapped and Coulson went over to him.
He pointed at the inside of the vehicle and Clint came to him and looked in.
“We collected a few of your friends,” he said and Clint saw a bunch of the evil guys, tied up and glaring angrily at the older man. “Good job, agent!”
“Good… good job?” Clint blurted.
“Yeah,” Coulson said. “Good job. You killed the boss, you eliminated quite a few of his henchmen and destroyed his whole organization. So… good job!”
“You came back,” Clint said when Coulson helped him over to a medic.
“Of course I came back,” Coulson said and smiled at him. “You’re one of us, Clint.”
“But… but you left and… and now you’re back…”
“You’re one of us, Clint,” Coulson said. “We don’t leave our men behind. We will always come for you.”
Clint blinked and Coulson smiled again.
“I promised you, right?” he said and Clint nodded slowly.
“People said that before,” he muttered and Coulson shook his head.
“I’m not people,” he said. “I promised, right?”
“You promised,” Clint admitted.
“And I will give you another promise. Right here and now,” Coulson said.
Clint looked up when the medic started to bandage his wounds.
“I will always come for you,” he said. “Always. You’re one of us, Clint. You’re in my team and that means, I will come for you. I will not let you down.”
“Always?” he asked and Coulson nodded.
“Yes, always,” he said. “Trust me.”
“I’ll try,” Clint said and Coulson nodded again.
“Good,” he smiled. “Now, let’s go back to base, okay?”
“Okay.”
dammit, Clint
