He thought for a moment, a smirk reaching his lips, “Perhaps so, but it’ll give it more courage next time.” He spoke back with a chuckle.

“You don’t know much about animals do you?” She asked, raising a brow slightly. "They tend to avoid high-stress situations -- and this might qualify now."

“Well then the world may just be in trouble if the stupidity is still roaming around without any treatment.” He let out an exaggerated sigh at the thought. “Well how about we trade places and you stay and guard the children while I go off and do my own thing.”

“Maybe that’s what can explain the trouble the world is currently in.” Larissa joked. Of course, they knew all too well the stupidity that resulted in this war. “I don’t just do my own thing all day.” She shook her head, smiling slightly. “I have work, too, you know.”

He was watching, intrigued why the girl believed the wildlife around them trusted them to come close. It made him chuckle, watching it dash the moment his foot moved. “Better luck next time.” He chimed, shrugging his shoulders.

A frown came to her lips as she heard his laughter. “You know that was your fault?” Larissa raised a brow and got up from the floor, brushing herself off. “You probably scared him half to death.”

“Oops, sorry!” Sam apologised sheepishly. “I wanted to get a glance of the little guy… guess I got too excited.”

Hearing the genuine apology, Larissa offered the man a smile. “It’s okay, there’s always next time.” She shrugged. “If you sit here long enough, they usually sometimes close enough to say hello.”

Larissa held her hand out toward the small white rabbit that was skirting around the bush at the edge of the small clearing she was in. “Come on, little guy.” Her voice was soft as she tried to coax him a little closer. Just watching him intrigued her. It looked curious and was edging slightly forward before a twig snapped behind her and the small animal dashed right back into the bushes. The witch reacted almost as quickly as the bunny had -- twirling around to look up at the person from her position kneeling on the grass.
