“You can say hi from a distance.” Odessa pointed out, looking up at the muggle. “So, how is your detective work going?” She sat back in her chair, getting comfortable for what she imagined would be a long-winded explanation. If she was honest, though, the muggle did provide her with a small amount of amusement – however shocking that may be.

“Noted.” The male replied with a nod. “Well, I’d love to say there’s been progress but I’ve been busy with work so it’s not been very productive. I mean, I always have my ears and eyes open for any information or gossip. My mate reckons she knows someone inside of the group so I’m gonna try and get him by himself and ask him some questions.” He explained with a serious expression. “What about you, have you heard anything else?” Same questioned almost hopeful.

“There’s this thing called personal space,” Odessa started, looking up at them. “What it means is that you leave at least five foot between you and other people. So, if I’m correct, you’re about three feet too close.” 

Sam took two steps back before looking back up at the female sheepishly with a grin. “Sorry bud, I didn’t mean to bother you. I just came by to say hi.”

“Trust me buddy, if you don’t stop staring, you and I are gonna have a problem.”

“Alright tough one, you’ve made your point now let’s leave the frightened villagers alone.” Sam stated with a smirk before sneaking behind her and picking her up and carrying her backwards in an effort to stop her from starting a fight with the male -- and the rest of his friends who were watching.

“Woah woah hey.. You’re just going to act as though we only saw each other yesterday?” Flynn stopped the male, waving his hand as a light laugh passed his lips. “Bring it in here.” He stretched his arms out wide toward his cousin.

Sam gave a laugh, shaking his head before embracing his cousin. “Sorry it’s just so easy to fall back into it with you, it always feels like no time has passed-- like you’ve never been away.”

Hazel orbs moved up to settle on the face of the person he had bumped into and before he could react or take back the apology, he watched his cousin throw himself to the ground. “Sammy, you’re ridiculous.” Flynn laughed, the nickname rolling off his tongue effortlessly as he shook his head at the other male. 

The male peered up from his position on the floor grinning. “You’re acting as if this is new information.” A chuckle left his mouth as he pushed himself up off of the ground. “Now, where are you supposed to be going in such a rush?”

“Oh my God I’m so late, I’m so late, I’m so late.” Flynn mumbled to himself as he quickly hurried through the town, dodging past various different people. It was his first day on the job as an observer and he couldn’t believe that he had let himself sleep in, of course now he was definitely going to be late. The young Ravenclaw dodged past a few further bodies before he collided with another who was also maintaining the same speed as him. Flynn quickly raised his hands, palms facing the other as he steadied himself. “Crap, I’m so sorry-” He apologised immediately before catching his bottom lip between his teeth, feeling a deep blush beginning to creep over his cheeks in embarrassment. 

Sam was just about to mutter an apology when he realised who it was that he’d actually collided with. A mischievous smirk rose to his face as he practically threw himself to the floor dramatically. “Bloody hell Flynn, you could have killed me.”

“I don’t like the way you say that. What are you up to?” She looked at him suspiciously. “Sam! You make it sound like an interrogation. We are not interrogating my Godfather.” Her eyes widened at the thought. “Sam, I’m serious. What if they’re dangerous. You could get hurt. I don’t want to see you get hurt.”

“Nothing.” He replied innocently with a small smile. “Well, I’m not being funny but it kinda is.” Sam shrugged like it was no big deal. “Wait your Godfather? I never knew your godfather was here.” He’d heard Wren talk about him a lot but he wasn’t aware that they were back in contact. “I won’t get hurt, I’ll be super careful. Come on, there’s no need to stress, it’s just a harmless investigation.”

Daisy gaze shifted awkwardly as he questioned her. “Of course. Look..” She raised her wrists with a laugh. “No restraints.” She shook her head at the male who, obviously, had to be a muggle. 

"But, I thought --" He paused confused as his brows scrunched up-- "But she said.." A sigh left the male’s lips, "So what's the deal with it all then?"

Daisy shook her head then laughed. “As a member of the ‘cult’ in question, I can assure you there are no orgies to be had.” She laughed once again.

"Wait, you’re with them?” He questioned his brow furrowing. How many of them was there? “Are you there, erm... willingly?”

“Sam, I’ll admit they’re all a bit weird and I can’t exactly say that I trust or want anything to do with them but I wouldn’t go as far as being in a cult.” She replied tentatively, not wanting to offend him. “Extreme communists? Are you sure that they weren’t just teasing you? I mean I know one of them, at least I think he’s apart of the newbies anyway. I’ve seen him with a couple of them” He brows furrowed in thought as she considered whether her God Father could be apart of them. “Seriously? Sam, I think you should stay away from them. They sound dodgy.”

“Hmmm.” Sam shrugged. “We’ll see.” It wouldn’t be too hard to figure it out, he’d just have to do a bit of digging. “Maybe, maybe not. Really? We should go question him.” The male replied eagerly. “They are dodgy which is why I’m going to find out more.”

Hearing the genuine apology, Larissa offered the man a smile. “It’s okay, there’s always next time.” She shrugged. “If you sit here long enough, they usually sometimes close enough to say hello.”

“Ahhh, so they’re regulars?” Sam smiled at the thought. He may have missed them today, but he could always catch them tomorrow. “I don’t believe we’ve met, I’m Sam.” The male introduced himself holding out his hand for the female to shake.

“An orgy… That’s your theory?” Daisy laughed, shaking her head at the male.

Sam turned to look at the female, “Do you have a better theory?” He asked with a pointed look. “I have it on good authority that they’re part of a cult, so an orgy isn’t as far fetched at you’d think.”

“I mean no offence to any of you who live here.. But this place is kind of a dump..” Daisy spoke, eyes moving around the area to settle on each piece of debris that littered the town in the wake of the most recent attack, which the brunette had no knowledge of. 

“Don’t get me wrong this place was no palace but it wasn’t this bad before the newbies arrived. I reckon they had an orgy or something.” Sam scrunched his nose up, shivering at the thought of it.

Larissa held her hand out toward the small white rabbit that was skirting around the bush at the edge of the small clearing she was in. “Come on, little guy.” Her voice was soft as she tried to coax him a little closer. Just watching him intrigued her. It looked curious and was edging slightly forward before a twig snapped behind her and the small animal dashed right back into the bushes. The witch reacted almost as quickly as the bunny had – twirling around to look up at the person from her position kneeling on the grass. 

“Oops, sorry!” Sam apologised sheepishly. “I wanted to get a glance of the little guy... guess I got too excited.”

“You realise you’re basically describing the two of us though, right? I mean we stick together and don’t really talk to anyone else. Or at least I don’t. Does that mean I’m in a cult?” She teased with a raised brow. “Against their will? What makes you say that?” She had to bite her lip to keep her laughter in.

Sam pursed his lips, she had him there. “Okay fair point, but there is only two of us so it’s not as weird.” He replied defending them, not liking the idea that he, himself, was in a cult. “Anyway I spoke to someone who said there extreme communists.” The male informed his friend crossing his arms over his chest with a smug look. “Well, they don’t look happy, and I heard one them complaining about being followed all the time and not getting to go where they wanted.”
