“ I’m no stranger to the Hunter ways. ” Lane laughs, shaking his head fondly, remembering the Hunter of his old fireteam. The Exo’s still around somewhere; it’s just never a sure fire thing finding him. The guy liked to run wild. Picking up others here and there, hiding in the shadows, striking out, doing what he could to stir the pot. Typical Hunter stuff, as he’d once told Lane. “ Used to run with a full fireteam that had one of the same mindset as you. I’ll admit, those days were some of the best I’d had. A lot of those days were really reckless on both mine and his parts. Guess I can say I don’t mind unearthing some trouble to get into myself. There’s something to be said about letting off steam. Venting, if you would. ” As the Drifter had so keenly put it before Lane had finally taken the man up on some of that Gambit stuff.
Though the talk of looking for something has the blond incline his head, curiosity showing across his features. Too nosy for his own good, Israfel was always chiding him. Lane’s curiosity got him into more problems than it did solutions, though because of it, he had some fun ( the most famous incident involving accidentally calling a lot of Hive and needing to assist Rasputin in fighting them off; now that nearly gave his new fireteam a heart attack and a half ).
“ If you need a hand, I’m definitely not busy. ” He’d wanted to go off and practice a bit more. Hone his skills. Own it, as he liked to think of it. He’s always being told by those around him he’s good enough, but he never quite believes them. He could always improve; and in this case, he really wanted his aim to work out better ( even if others look at him funny; a Titan pulling out a bow isn’t exactly that heard of ). “ And if it’s a worry, let me just say I can respect someone else’s loot. Besides, I’m out here for practice, not loot. I’m pretty set in that regard. ” The only thing he ever minded was armor and weapons, everything else was really not any of his interest.
“ ha ! i knew there was something a lil different about you. not everyday you meet a titan like you, let’s just be real here. meet plenty - a hunters like me, though. ” the exo throws his knife up a few times to catch, much to the displeasure of his ghost --- well, sort of. talon just minded having to rez saber every time he did something stupid. but, the offer for lane to lend a hand as he hunted down what he was looking for... he hums, glancing aside to think it over. and when a few moments passed, he turned back to lane.
there’s a smile in his eyes as he uncrosses his arms. “ never hurts to have an extra pair of hands. and honestly, where i’m going, i might even need it. talon’s being sarcastic about this, though. how do i handle this ghost ? ” he checks his inventory quickly to ensure he has the right loadout, the right choices --- void, pulse rifle and shotgun ( though, it hardly was: he won that score from some random fallen out in the edz not too long ago, and it was nothing like a damn shotgun ), and of course, a rocket launcher, for the sake of it. he also notes the backup sniper rifle if he has to take a step back.
“ hey, you’re cool. thanks for respecting the loot ‘n’ stuff. but if i don’t find what i’m looking for, you can have what i find. not here for any other reason, so. ” he checks with talon one more time to ensure the signal is still there. sure enough, it was, and the exo could almost sigh in relief because of it. now to find the bastard and take what’s rightfully his and not theirs... “ you’re welcome to join in on the fun. plenty of shooting practice coming my way, so i’ll even join in on that. i’ll keep count of my kills ‘n’ that. ”
