☀ [ Alucard ]

     it was not often alucard found himself AMUSED with children . some were useless , others to be used as warriors . however , since he had come into contact with his COUNTESS && FAMILY growing larger by the minute , he found himself a protective HELLHOUND around them . not just because he wished them well but because they were all his own . his own to protect even if it meant caging them again && again for years to come .

      “ —— katarina often pouted about the fact that i was overly protective . she will come to terms with it once more once she reaches your level of pregnancy . “

     his finger would lift to stroke the side of her cheek , allowing the digit to curl around her chin before slipping out of her touch at the question . “ is that not something you should speak with samuel about ?? i have no right to give a name , but i would love to hear what you have in mind so far , my dear . tell me , do you need anything ?? i have water for you just in case . “ there he went on again , asserting his concern over someone that hardly needed it !! “ i am positive you && reina have come up with some ideas when samuel is not around . “

Hardly needed, still wholly welcomed. It’s quaint to think that this man was capable of such gentility ( and here she never questioned it ), with the touch along her face, the caress still growing softer by the minute. It’s nought to complain about, for the moment Samuel was not around, Alucard indeed was the man she sought out for comfort ( past her own parents, of course ). “I only pout at my beloved~ You have some different rights depending on that.” 

A jest, soft and light with twisting that slender form of hers, just settling more and more into offered warmth. 

“I am mere interested what you would think~ Talking about that with Samuel ends up in at least a dozen ideas and he still finds himself not fully convinced by either of them. And I’m fine~” Wasn’t it natural in some sort of way? Katarina had mentioned that the Vampire Lord was just the same---

---despite his teasing. “It is a girl, so we merely want to play with meaning and origin of the name, something romanian, something soft.” Lovely, light, a few things in mind, so she might as well offer them up, shall she not? For he was so willing to listen. So willing to be a part of it ( how heartwarming, indeed ). “Reina and I thought about the names Adela or Crina - what do you think?”

       “ you are with my grandchild , i intend to protect you as much as possible ~ . “

      oh , sweet innocence !! it was utterly amusing to see the angel act so sweet . his arm would move to hold her close , allowing the child of DEATH && BLOOD to relax against his form before he would give the briefest of smiles . the way she carried herself , the way she was in no means a COWARD , oh , it proved that his darling son had choosen a perfect partner . one whom was with child no less !! he wondered how his darling grandchild would be like but before that , he would only smile && give a slow peek into the softness he was capable of having from time to time .

       “ my countess && i would want our darling grandchild to be protected , dear louise . i know you are more than capable of handling yourself but at this stage of pregnancy , i will not allow you to lift a single digit !! please , relax && rest . i am sure samuel will be back any second . is my company that bad , dear ~ ? “

They both were the same. As different her betrothed and father-in-law could truly act, they both turned into hellhounds ready to protect what they hold dear in a matter of moments spent in idle banter. She had never feared him - for he was the one her beloved reverenced ( did Alucard know ? ), and her own parents had organised, arranged, built, that not an ounce of hesitation would crawl inside that mind of hers. Amusing, really, to look at it from the outside, for what the Vampire King was - and what the whole family would be. 

“You are like this with Katarina as well~ I know it. Alas, keeping me tangled up with you is probably the easiest way to assure I won’t run away~” 

Would she? Surely not, and the presence he provides is one wholly cherished and adored. It’s quaint to think that one can find a sense of calm, a sense of safety ( soothing feel of softness ) in a man of power quite like him. She would rest, sighing playfully, a charade of a huff, before settling down like he wanted. “Of course, I adore your company~ And while we have the time: do you desire to think about a name for the baby as well~?”

“Will you keep me ‘caged’ inside all day until Samuel is back~?” 

Mirthful, the way words would fall from her lips the same way smile lightened them up for the slightest bit more. Hearing such words, one were to wonder, but taking place in residence of her betrothed’s family home, it was not unlikely that her father-in-law would overreact ( if only to see what would really happen ). Getting accustomed to it was one thing, playfully joking about in leaning the slightest bit closer to his resting form, was another. 

“I can be very well on my own and you know this~ Being pregnant doesn’t mean that I have to be wrapped up in cotton wool~”

     —— ⊰☩⊱ ;;;       To be supine; to forgo, for a spell, God himself; all in moment’s breath nihilism bares teeth, a gnashing which threatens, yet never brings to fruition. This lethargy mocks openly such instinctual desire for retaliation. For protection of self, for he remains as he was: still. Terrifyingly susceptible. His throat scarce to make sound at all, the mind (and body) by far too acquainted with this environment’s response to… anything. 

      Certainly, another here is but a guise veiling something more. 

      “…I can do it myself.” Breathed strained syllables of a tongue Charles assumes they all know. “Please, I can change them myself.” Murmured outpouring plea follows nothing. He thinks, so he believes, yet limbs themselves remain. 

Alike to an animal, terrified, haunted ( by what - she knows far too well ), skittish in how to react to gentled touch, meant without any harm to be placed onto torn apart soul. Her father, as he was, always had powers far beyond any human expectations, even if those he found himself engaged with, found himself playing with to degree of shattering like discardable toy, were far beyond any humanity could only release towards and achieve in this world. And she was meant to mend together what he broke ( how curious still, that the mortician had even placed that request--- ).

“I would let you---” Softly, with smaller hands retreating from their former place, room to breathe in strained intakes of air in how horrifyingly caging this whole surrounding had to be. “---but you will only hurt yourself more.” 

True as much, eyes had often trained themselves onto those exclaiming and proclaiming working past an injury quite as this was a possibility to attain ( yet failed to do so ). Conveyed was this knowledge with smile far too tender. “Albeit, I do need that you move a little. Can you sit up?”

☀ [ Ebony ]

    Softly does her hand fall to the girl’s shoulder, brows ARCHING as she’s told of her return to university, chuckling warmly. A bright mind, fixated on helping people, just how Ebony adores the thought, finding it fitting for the young woman to enter such a field. In no way, would she become like–

                     ❝  I am sure that he would be more than glad to help you. Certainly there must be much for you to take care of in terms of studies. Me ?  Well now, a very well-organized sort of HECTIC, so little time & so much to do. I am blessed to have those that can keep everything running when I take leave.  ❞

    No one would want to come back to a company up in FLAMES. Thankful to have those that kept all running smoothly, she trusts little else to those unqualified. Now, with the time there is to be SPARED, the idea of scoping out a recently launched café sounds all too tempting to decline. It has been some time,   &   playing catch-up over a hot mug of coffee will be their little entertainment for the evening.  Her smile WIDENS the slightest as slender hand fall away from Louise’s shoulder, gaze TURNING towards exit.

                    ❝  A delightful way to spend the time together. You may lead the way my dear,   &   I will pay.  ❞

How strange to think that she would have taken this profession amongst all else that would have been open for intelligent mind to take up. How quaint to think that her parents had been willing to allow, her father even going as far as to pay whole expanses, making it possible to concentrate, to figure out, to learn more and beyond anything that could be found amongst shelves and from carefully craft lectures of professors and doctors alike. Perhaps, only knowing the little female’s background, was enough to wonder about the reason of a why and what for ( but none of it to really act a part ). 

Always busy, always sunken into amounts of work that seemed inhumane only taking glance at heaps over heaps of what should be impossible to manage, yet brushed off and away ( by both woman, truly ) with nothing mere but the wave of hand and delightful smile in place. 

“You should make sure not to overwork yourself~” Shall she be one to really preach? Perhaps, alas her fiancé would make sure about it, as much as the little apprentice held the very sense of it in return. Eyes to brighten the littlest bit more, a nod was given and a beckon of her head to have Ebony follow along for a bit of well-placed ‘waste-of-time’. How delightful, to spend with such a precious friend. 

“Alas, I still would like to visit you one day, just sneaking around backstage sounds like such an interesting thing. For me, that is, for you, it’s probably rather monotonous~”

☀ [ Beloved ]

     “ … “ the way her hand touched his own would make the WAR MONGERER simply stare . how fragile , how tender - his beloved . his hand would curl around hers before he pulled her closer into an embrace ; to show affection was new , but not hated . he rather enjoyed the tender moment they were having - plus neither of their parents were around to coo at them so it was … nice . 

     “ … can i kiss you ? “

She was the person to rather not care about their relatives being overly engrossed in the behavior of the two, but her beloved ( of course ) was different. Was living differently, not without love and affection, but in a world to be stronger, to be a leader. How very well he’s doing just all of that - and how very gentle and soft on the other side; with tenderly embracing that fragile little being herself was - could he show attention beyond bringing war and destruction. 

They both knew - and herself to settle in an embrace wholesomely loved and adored. And how tentative of a question to come---

“Of course. Please, do whatever you like.”

“Is there something I can do for you, sir? We are about to close for the night.” Strange guests, strange occurrences as of late ( to be around to her fathers’ doing, obviously ) and for this man to be such seemingly lost and stumble inside the manor as per the last moments of light to hit the floor length windows, he truly seemed just a tad too out-of-place to really be here for the blatancy of the parlour’s reason. Seaching, in a way, was what the little female understood as a way of acting and moving ( how perceptive she just truly is ), but for who and why?

With both her parents not to be around - a usual indeed that Louise would receive and serve for ‘guests’ - no matter how quaint and curious they truly seemed. “If you have a different goal, I can likely redirect you towards your correct location.”

Softly spoken, a near whisper of words, all too calmly uttered when only the male stirred beneath cautious touch ( near such tentatively placed ). Such a curious request her father had had for her, bringing this injured soul inside the manor, advising for her to care, to treat and mend back together ( what Louise knew too well he broke in first attempt ). No question to it all be had, because just how aware was the young female about the happenings, and how less she would really ponder for phrases picked out and strung together, woven by the one that now such slowly awoke - likely ( surely so ) - it would be all the answer needed. 

“I need to change the bandages on your arm.”

Even to this day; never is the world short of ways to surprise him, in bigger ways or smaller. The answer he eventually receives is not quite the one he was expecting (albeit; perhaps he’d not driven himself too deeply into considering what that expectation might have been otherwise, anyway.) Botanical purposes, surely the very last thing that might have sprung to mind, and so she seems to know it, too. More questions than answers, truly, Carvel decides. Unconsciously, there comes the gentle furrow of his brows as his even footsteps march steadily onward.

“Herbs.” He repeats into the evening dark, almost incredulous; what a strange thing to wander into such a strange place for, after all–and with such a magnificent absence of regard for…well, almost too many things. “What exactly do you need those for so badly that you’d consider trespassing to get them?” 

Well. He could guess. A scrutinising glance is passed over one sleek shoulder again to eye that bag in the girl’s possession. In two minds to stop walking (but he supposes it should strike him as odd–as to why nobody else paid much mind to the intrusion to begin with.) “Haa..quite bold, aren’t you? Simply helping yourself to these things…”

“Is it truly that bold? This place, as maybe daunting it could appear to everybody else, is not off-limits to my knowledge.” And that much she knows, with the mansion-like building approaching in the dark the same way stopping as their own footsteps did when only regard by the male with such a very fitting question. Odd, she truly was a quaint little being, as odd as the man such ‘willingly’ ( perchance ) wondering and pondering upon someone quite as young, someone quite as ‘uncaring’ as the girl regarding with curious gaze.

“I do study medicine, what may answer that question, if you like.”

Slender hands to move, to push away folds of coat worn and wrapped around such delicate frame, to extend a book ( ancient, by its look ), but fitting in purpose, handed to her by her father, offering just what she looked for. More ‘modern’ ones, she needed those not but had access to them as well. More trust to be placed in her parent’s choice upon something quite as important - and only the look of hard bound leather would betray. “This library---” Oh she knows. “---does not seem like it would not allow someone to simply wander in the garden. If it is the fact, I do apologize, sir.”

He is just going to gently pat her head, seeing how common affection was still new to him. So, just a soft pat on her head will do. // B>

Will do? Perhaps it will, not yet seen by eyes to follow his hands motion, by assessing, just willingly ( such full of trust ) how power to be such gentle could caress hair and make her look up.

“You are cute when you are like this.” 

Tenderly spoken with shining green eyes to follow the Vampire’s own, with that little jest ( a little joke ) offered before him, knowing well the effect it might have, knowing - additionally - far too well how new and how strange it all was still to him. Common affection - drawn just a bit further, when slender hands lifted to carefully grasp his wrist poised right above her head. With how the little female knew he would permit, would let her draw him down to place the gentlest kiss upon curled in fingers, upon knuckles just a bit later.

Seems there’s a stray on the wander; he notices the minimal disturbance in familiarity and should-be presences just moments before he stumbles across the cause of it. Seconds, minutes, whichever it might be–some menagerie of numbers not cared for as the curator’s shadowy figure glides purposefully onward. Relatively untroubled, for a change; his suspicions are comfortingly minimal as he traces footsteps right to the heart of this tiny matter. And a tiny matter it surely is, he discovers when, however, fearlessly this soon-found youth turns to him in dauntless inquiry for help. 

A lingering pause, the assessing flicker of ruby eyes cast over this certain someone he’s bumped into. Curious.

“…So it seems.” Lost, yes, perhaps that surely must be the case. A short huff, followed only by the slow turn on the librarian’s heel. “Come, then. But just what were you doing here at this hour in the first place…?”

A feeling far too familiar to coil around and near envelope the male such openly offering aide when only requested. How quaint of a feeling that would brew inside her mind, not yet adressed ( not quite ), with tamely following along the lead and an answer present as innocent as it may appear sublime. “As surprising as it may sound: I looked for herbs.” Remarkable, wasnt she? Not an ounce worry, not a single faint feeling of reverence. 

“Some are only to be found in certain conditions, some buds of near singular pieces, only bloom at certain hours of the day.” Had the little female had luck with her try? Oh surely. With the small bag slung carelessly behind slender frame, to carry only what there had been desired in such an unknown place, one that had lead her here with the utmost security of success. 

“It is rare to find a place like this mansion, and the garden offers just what I was interested in~”

                   ❝  Louise–  ❞

    Melodic tone lilts through the air with single word, single NAME, as silvery eyes soften at the sight of the young woman. A swift approach,   &   gentle KISS ‘pon brow she places before pulling away slightly as she glances up to area they now stand in.

                    ❝  I feel as if I have been away for FAR too long.   ❞      A smile stretches o’er colored lips as eyes lower once more, pallid fingers gently tucking away a strand of the woman’s dark hair behind her ear.       ❝  I do hope all has been well for you in my absence. How do you fare in your studies ?  ❞

Swiftly, lightly, always such gentle and delicate was a feeling and a notion Louise had about the female now approaching in ways unlike any other she knew about. Soothing in a way, with the brush of lips, and the stroke of hair, with the words that fluttered throughout the room. 

“A while~ But I’m back now for quite some time as well.” Surely, for studies to have a pause, for her parents to request presence ( desiring it easily ) and herself to be simply interested in seeing changes, seeing the adjustments made to her father’s morgue. “They do! I brought a bit of stuff with me from my university, simply because I have to ask papa about a few tidbits here and there.”

Knowing, of course the mortician was to something quite as ‘simple’ for him. “How have you been~? We could go into a café that opened close by, if you like?”

“Hm, seems I got lost.” Surely, surely - but undisturbed for a girl her looks and size, to wander upon the large surrounding of that mansion quite by dark, quite by night. Lack of fear from what could lurk, those that could have raised a word not coming to mind quite like this ( how questioning, indeed ), with following what path provided, and what eyes supposedly would see. Curious young one, to not even twitch nor ‘flee’ upon being approached by something quite as dark and daunting.

Given who her parents were, how unlikely would it truly seem. 

“I’m sorry, sir, it seems I lost my way around here. If I don’t disturb, could you lead me out?”

Unlike her fathers, Louise is capable of mending people together by so many means. Her specialty is healing alchemy along with multiple abilities of healing as a shinigami but overall, her aura is capable of mending people together and healing them after having some great time with her. Louise is able to give people hope instead of despair like her fathers. However, she has the full support of Solf and Undertaker, making sure she is taken care of after doing everything for people and not thinking of herself.
