ESKEL.
Eskel did not like to make a habit out of having company, given that witchers were supposed to be lone wolves. Never in need of company or help when carrying out their contracts. And yet, when confronted with the possibility of sharing his Path with another that wished to share their time with him, it was rather hard to refuse. The Witcher was still rather exhausted after his latest job, and he was planning on having some bread and berries for supper given that he did not feel up to the task of hunting.
When the rabbit was tossed at him, Eskel looked up at the other and arched an eyebrow, the tiniest smirk spread across his lips for a fleeting moment before tugging the bolt off the carcass. “It is never too early for gifts like this. Unfortunately, I have nothing to give you in return. For now at least.” He examined the rabbit momentarily before letting his gaze look at the other again. “Thank you for this. I appreciate it and I will repay you.”
Shortly after taking a seat on the laid out bear hide, Gladio plucked the crossbow bolt and flicked it away into the underbrush. He set up the rabbit above the crackling fire, so it could cook. “ Think nothing of it -- I enjoy hunting, if I’m to be honest. “ he replied rather simply, eyes focused on the roasting meat before him. Once the smell of cooking rabbit wafted into his sensitive nose, his focus was directed back at his fellow Witcher.
Gladio searched his mind for something to say, there were quite a few things he was curious about, but couldn’t really settle on one. A few seconds pass and the younger witcher finally settles on one, something he’s only been able to read in specific books. “ What’s it like at Kaer Morhen? Never actually got to see it with my own two eyes, sadly. Only ever read about it and heard dubious stories from folks who’ve said they’ve been there. “
