sofie-lopez:
Sofia spent a solid hour trying to plan her outfit for her get-together with Dan. She didn’t want to look too formal but she wanted to look presentable. She didn’t want to look rushed or too casual, but she wanted something that wasn’t too expensive, just in case she got it dirty since they were going on a picnic.
She finally settled on a pink floral dress and white sandals. She wore her hair in her usual style, and let it settle below her shoulders. She sent a text to Dan to let her know she was on her way and went outside to hail a taxi. As she pulled up to the park, she breathed in deeply. What was this? Surely he didn’t think they were official, right? She couldn’t handle that right now. As she walked over to Dan, she smirked, seeing him sitting there. “Oh, really?” She raised a brow. “I hope that’s your first one,” she said, taking a seat next to him. “You’re so cute when you get nervous around me,” she said, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek.
Dan knew he looked his best in a basic white tshirt, plaid shirt and skinny jeans, a versitle outfit at best. the shirt doubled up as a small additional picnic blanket if required. Yet, knowing he looked good didn’t compare to how Sofie looked in his eyes. She did always know how to dress for the ocassion. “You look amazing.” He murmured, neglected her statements.
Soon however, his ears and brain made the connection and he began thinking over his answers. “It is indeed my first one. I’ve even got spares.” He chuckled, opening his back pack further to show off multiple apple juice boxes all neatly placed inside. “I do not get nervous.” he mumbled, knowing his slightly stuttered his words. How did she have this effect on him? He could already feel his cheek heating up under the touch of her lips. “Ignore the red cheeks, they aren’t connected to the statement.” He laughed, “Can we pretend that this didn’t happen and I’m totally acting confident again? and like restart this date?” He joked, “It’ll be the best start to a PB and J sandwich date you’ve ever had.”
