Watching the FRIENDS reunion.

The writers were talking about how Monica and Chandler were just meant to sleep together in London, they were gonna have some fun with it for a few episodes and then move on. But the audience reaction was so intense and so happy during taping when it was revealed that they realized they needed to rethink the whole thing - and thus, Monica&Chandler were born.

THIS is how you make a show. You see what you have, whether you wanted to have it or not, and you nurture it, and make it into something real.
