[There’s yelling outside. Pokespeech yelling. GG works up the courage to peak outside, slowly pushing away the curtain.
A frantic looking Decidueye does its best to support a ragged looking human. Their long black hair looks like it’s been washed by nothing but seawater for days, and their clothes look torn. The Decidueye looks around wildly, eventually spotting Wade’s house. Relief fills the Pokémon’s eyes as it rushes to the front door.
GG quickly backs away from the window. Who… is that? Whoever it is looks vaguely familiar, but there’s no way in hell that’s someone they know. Especially since they’re with a rare Pokémon.
There’s a knocking at the door. GG curses under their breath before bolting downstairs.
“You can at least talk through the door. If they’re seriously hurt…. Wade would want you to help. Right?”
The door is fully shut and locked, but it shakes slightly as the strangers knock on it. Outside, the stranger whispers to themselves. GG is just able to catch the Decidueye’s words.
“… is this the right house? It’s the right color and had the fountain he mentioned… hang in there Jester, please…”
GG steadied their nerves before yelling a reply.
Okay, maybe a little too loud.
“H- hi! Um. I… I’m Howl?”
“Okay, Howl, what the hell do you want?”
“We… my trainer and I got… lost. He’s hurt. I was told you could help?”
Wade does tend to stick his neck out to help strangers, so it isn’t that surprising that he’d have a reputation for being the kind of person to go to.
“Oh yeah? And who told you that?”
“Just… someone while we were out. My trainer is barely conscious right now, but he was able to speak earlier. He… asked then.”
Shit. That’s a reasonable enough answer. GG was really hoping for an excuse to turn them away. They clenched their jaw in frustration. This situation was practically their worst nightmare.
“… Grh- STAY THERE. Don’t MOVE. I’ll be back in a second.”
GG ran upstairs. Even if they wanted to open the door this very second, they couldn’t. GG rushed over to a laptop and typed a message.
N EED HELP. NOW. COME OUTT.
A Porygon 2 burst forth from the laptop, looking worried and confused. GG didn’t bother to explain, they just ran downstairs hoping Tasque Manager would follow.
It did, and soon enough the door was open. The Decidueye didn’t look so good themselves, their feathers were ruffled and they looked incredibly weak. Their trainer looked worse then they had initially, their entire body was limp. The only sign that they were awake was one open eye, which watched GG curiously.
“Thank you. Thank you so much.”
“Thank me after I’ve helped you. Come on.”]
