So my town has started putting up these posters and I have opinions.

Like. I assume these are supposed to deter people from littering because, yeah, there’s a lot of rats around here. But at the same time I don’t feel like the rat is successfully painted as a villain here? Fella looks delightful, really. He even brought his own fork! I might go to the park and leave some food scraps for their little rat fest!

though every rat is special, it's a wonderful and unusual thing for their accomplishments to be remembered and cherished by so many people so many years later. we're all so fortunate to know about the rat who banged out the tunes!

In 21st century America, there was a pervasive superstition that rats could force people to do their bidding simply by grabbing ahold of their hair.
